At Newmarket there is a full card. I am here to cover their stakes race, which is race 10 on their card, The Eye Plus Plus Stakes for all 2 yo`s over seven furlongs on the firm turf. A rather disappointing field of four take their chances at the $80000 pot.

1) AESCULAPIUS kristov 1220 J Bradley 3/1

2 yo colt

North Light x Kingmambo x Deputy Minister

4 races 1 win 2 seconds $62500

Won his first race in a 6 furlong owner restricted maiden, recording a 68 on the yielding turf at Ostend. Followed that up by going close in 6.5 furlong stakes in Tazmania, just failing by 1/4 of a length and finishing second with a 72. An improved effort from him next time out once again saw him finish runner up in a6.5 furlongs turf stakes, this time beaten 1 3/4 and running a pb 78.his last run can be forgotten about as he tried dirt for the first time and did not take to it.Can he improve enough again to take this?

2) FASTEST PLUMMER wolves 213301 T COOPER 7/2

2 yo colt

Jump Start x Kingmambo x Hansel

6 races 2 wins 1 second 2 thirds.

Most experienced horse in the field. This could mean he has a better understanding of his job,but it could also mean there is less scope for improvement. First 5 races were on dirt, but he came to life lto when tried on the green for the first time. Showed blistering early pace to lead from trap to wire in a seven furlong nw2l allowance at Victoria, just keeping enough in the tank to score by 1/4 of a length and record his fastest speed figure to date, an 80. Harder task today, but is certainly one to consider in an open heat.

3) ANOTHER DUDE jkj4 1 J Liddle 6/5 fav

2 yo colt

Shirocco x Secretariat x Deputy Minister

1 race 1 win

Worthy favourite after blistering debut in a top notch msw which marks him out for possible future sim stardom. He thrilled the race goers at Victoria with a lightning final furlong to win a 6 furlongs turf $45200 msw, in a smart time and a hugely impressive speed figure of 82. Steps up a furlong today and that really looks ideal. Great chance to showcase his talents and announce to the sim world that theres a smart 2 yo on the block.

4) HILLLITUDE mrfu2 2 I Jones 9/5

2 yo colt

Aptitude x Mr Prospector x Danehill

1 race 1 second $10250

While im all in favour of a trainer sneaking a maiden into a stakes under the radar if he thinks he has found a soft `un, this looks a big ask. Showed great promise in his debut at the track, finishing in the runners up berth in a seven furlongs turf msw at Denmark, his speed figure of 74 means he has a lot to do to match the Dude in 3. I can see Hillitude being rushed off his feet in this one and will he be able to come back? Looks like he needs eight furlongs to me.

POGO PREDICTS

No surprises here Another dude looks the class of the race.2nd place is a little harder but i will go for the horse in 1 having just a little more scope than the 2 horse. So its 3 to beat 1 with 2 in third.

WATCHOUT!
