This is the fifth win in seven starts for the young colt, and his fourth stakes win. He is now one for one at route distance, proving for the first time that he can compete beyond sprint distance. The victory takes his career earnings to the $269190 mark, translating out to a very nice $38456 per race. The victory also boosts him into the top ten in the divisional rankings, giving him a rank of 7 in both the Juvenile Sprint and Juvenile Classic divisions. He also posted a career best speed, breaking the 83 mark. As expected, the payouts at the betting window were rather slim, with the winner paying $4.90 $2.20 $2.10 across the board. The two slightly higher odds horse in the second and third slots helped to bolster the exotic payouts a bit, paying $20.30 in the exacta and $53.80 in the trifecta.

Moon Of Queensland(JPN) provided the early excitement, getting an excellent jump from the gate, and quickly opening up a good lead. He was in command at first call, and then managed to open up three and a quarter lengths as they crossed the half. As they moved into the second half the closers started to eat up the cushion, but Wolf Of Queensland(IRE) managed to hold them off until the top of the stretch. At that point, Flag Bearer(TX) and Carn The Bombers(AUS) surged past in tandem, fighting for the lead as they approached the wire. Ziggy Rules(IRE) was not to be denied, and came out of nowhere to pass them all halfway down the stretch, erasing a nine furlong deficit he was facing at the half. As they crossed the wire, it was Ziggy Rules(IRE) by one and three quarters, not leaving any questions behind. Flag Bearer(TX) took second place honors, and Carn The Bombers(AUS) settled for third, three lengths out at the wire.

[3

post-4743","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-reviews
["GET
