The fifteenth race on the card this week was the Grade I Getaway Stakes for two year old fillies. There was a full field of fourteen fillies that drew into this years running of the prestigious seven furlong dirt sprint. The full field of fresh inexperienced two year olds paraded tentatively down to the starting gates. Despite their inexperienced nerves all loaded easily into the grates, impatiently waiting for the gates to crash open.
Out of the gate first was upperhand2<\/i> owned Appeal This<\/b>, who was leading by a narrow three-fourth of a length over brooline<\/i> trained The Wiggle Waggler<\/b>. Running one and one-fourth lengths back in third was Hillbilly Dance<\/b>, owned and trained by g1robbo<\/i>. Along in fourth and fifth were Bellissima G<\/b> and Let\u2019s Get Rocked<\/b>, owned by buxpasser<\/i> and greeny<\/i> respectively. Trailing the field early on in the race was post-time favorite Dance Away Renee<\/b>, trained by hornedfrog<\/i>.
Appeal This<\/b> lengthened her lead over The Wiggle Waggler<\/b> by one and one-fourth lengths now with Hillbilly Dance<\/b> still running along two and three-fourth lengths back in third. Bellissima<\/b> and Let\u2019s Get Rocked<\/b> continued to hold position in fourth and fifth. Dropping back slightly was Bamana<\/b>, owned by billeex<\/i>, who was being passed by Clear The Lead<\/b>, owned and trained by laserbarn<\/i>. Beginning to make an early move at the back of the field was Dreamy Cat<\/b>, trained by elzid<\/i> who was moving into twelfth and pushing back Florida-bred Da Tate<\/b>, trained by bigtate04<\/i>. Dropping back into ninth, five lengths back was alexx2<\/i> owned Speaking Of Bbor<\/b>. Still trailing the field was Dance Away Renee<\/b>.
Appeal This<\/b> continued to lengthen her lead over The Wiggle Waggler<\/b> and was now leading the field by two and a half lengths. Making a move up into third was Bellissima<\/b> with Clear The Lead<\/b> moving up into fourth. Holding firm in fifth was Let\u2019s Get Rocked<\/b> with Bamana<\/b> moving up into sixth. Rocketing up into seventh from the back of the pack came Dreamy Cat<\/b>. Fading quickly and now back in eighth was Hillbilly Dance<\/b> with Flow Chart<\/b>, owned and trained by ashleigh<\/i> now moving up into ninth. Holding position in tenth was justicemu<\/i> owned Luck (AUS)<\/b> with Tiberina<\/b>, owned and trained by mvillebabe<\/i> falling back into eleventh. Seaking Of Bbor<\/b> had fallen into twelfth with Da Tate<\/b> running in thirteenth. Trailing the field thirteen and one-fourth lengths off the leader was still Dance Away Renee<\/b>.
The field of fourteen charged at the wire and it was Appeal This<\/b> under jockey S. Isreal to win going wire to wire by one and one-forth lengths for owner and trainer upperhand2<\/i>. The filly recorded a lifetime best speed figure of ninety-one. Quickly closing and finishing second was Clear The Lead (IRE)<\/b> with Dreamy Cat<\/b> in third.
