It is time for the 3 years old girls to go Six and one half furlongs in The WOODGIRL Challenge Stakes. The race will be run on the firm turf inner course for a purse of $60,000. The weather looks clear for a beautiful day at the track. Here is a preview for the headliner in Maine: Enjoy.

SEA AND SAND at 4/1, has 5 wins in 10 starts for owner zooomr3 . Finding her top form as of late, she won her last 2 races against similar class horses. Posting a nice 98 sp#, I see her breaking into triple digits with her best performance this weekend. Her last 2 outings were get to wire, look for that again in this feature.

TOMS SASSY SPHYNX at 9/2, by ROAR for owner highpoint won 6 out of 16 starts. Finishing 5th last outing, her form looks to be improving. Breaking into the 90’s sp#, she is steadily improving. Looks to be able to get a piece of the purse with her best effort.

NAME TAKEN at 9/2 has hit the board 8 of 10 starts for owner ruffguy . Making over $90,000 already in just 10 starts, she looks for the class move into Stakes level compation. Winning a nice allowance race last out and posting a 98 sp#, I’d say she is ready to move into Stakes company. She should be the winner or in the runner up spot here.

BONE CAPPER at 6/1 has won 9 of 24 starts for owner ksparrow1 Finishing 6th her last 4 out against allowance class, She is quite out classed with this field. Running in the 80’s sp#, I’d say she did not hit her top stride as of yet. Maybe with a little drop, she can improve her form.

SUNDAY BRAKE(JPN) at 2/1 is the tote board favorite. Winning over $490,000 for owner karmakaze , she finished 5th last out in a grade I try. She drops back down to stakes level for this one. With a good effort, she will take home some of this purse but, I see her as the beaten favorite in with some of these.

SLEWTEMPLATE T the long shot at 13/1 for owner tedstables . Hitting the board 6 of 17 races, she looks to be out classed in this won. Not yet breaking into the 90’s sp#, I see her hanging in the back of the pack. Allowance company seems to be a more suitable place for her right now till she finds that top form.

BAKER’S DOZEN at 9/2 has hit the board 9 of 12 outings for owner vampire2 . Losing her top stride as of late, she’ll need to find it here to hit the board. Jumping up to stakes compation, she can handle to class climb, but again will need that top form she was running 3 races back.
