His first two starts versus maiden and allowance fields saw him well off the pace early but finished well to win by 1 ¼ lengths or more in each start. His top speed figure is 83. Improvement on that number may put him close at the finish.

Post – 2 – ANTENAEON
Odds – 17/1
Owner – alibilane17
Pedigree – SHANGHAI BOBBY x DIXIE UNION x ELUSIVE QUALITY – Scratch Bred

Antenaeon is another undefeated colt. His first two starts showed him coming from off the pace but able to get up for the win. His top speed figure is 76. He will need to make a big step up to finish well here.

Post – 3 – MY BOYZ NACHOS
Odds – 21/1
Owner – alphaandomega3
Pedigree – NACHEEZMO x MYBOYCHARLIE (IRE) x MONTJEU – Dam Bred (CHARLIE GIRL)

My Boyz Nachos has a maiden win to his credit. He is another that likes to come from off the pace. He posted a 79 in his maiden win but backed up a bit facing allowance foes. This spot might be a little tough for him.

Post – 4 – NEEDS WEEDS
Odds – 9/1
Owner – adeeprock0
Pedigree – AWTAAD (IRE) x STORMY ATLANTIC x BARATHEA – Dam Bred (WEED KILLER)

Needs Weeds won first out posting a nice 80 speed figure at 4.5 furlongs on turf. His next two starts were in graded stakes. He finished 2nd in the G3 The Mother Lois. He will be making his first start on dirt. If he takes to the dirt he may be competitive here.

Post – 5 – POLITICAL DRIVE
Odds – 13/1
Owner – tarton26
Pedigree – EMCEE x PACO BOY (IRE) x WAQUOIT – Dam Bred (ILLEGAL POGWIST)

Political Drive is the final undefeated horse in the field. He won first out in an allowance restricted race, then won the Dynaprospector Dirt Juvenile and Forty With Polar Dirt Juvenile stakes before taking the G2 Midsoil Stakes. His top speed figure was 83 which he earned in the G2. He deserves some respect here even though he is listed at 13/1 in the morning line.

Post – 6 – ONE SCOTCH
Odds – 16/1
Owner – deeprock47
Pedigree – BOURBON COURAGE x A. His third start he showed his normal late kick but only got within a length at the finish. His last start in the G3 The Manor of Bashford he closed to a 2nd place finish beaten ¾ length. His top speed figure is 83 which could put him in the mix if he can get the added furlong.

Post – 7 – CREATIVE START TED
Odds – 17/1
Owner – redright88
Pedigree – CREATIVE CAUSE x GONE WEST x WOODMAN – Dam Bred (GIZNAD WEST T)

Creative Start Ted has 2 wins in 3 starts. He won first out at the maiden level. His faltered a little in his first start at the allowance NW1X level. He redeemed himself with a victory at the same level repeating his top speed rating of 70. Would be a surprise to see him beat this field.

Post – 8 – LENTRAN
Odds – 10/1
Owner – lourival
Pedigree – EXCAPER x CHELOKEE x CRAFTY PROSPECTOR – Dam Bred (DAD ALL HEART)

Lentran is the most experienced horse in the field. He has 9 starts to his credit with 6 of them being wins. He has wins at the Claiming 20,000 level, 4 at the starter allowance level, 1 at the allowance NW1X level. He is also G2 placed beaten ¼ length in the Hoserhead Juvenile. He earned a blistering 90 speed rating in the G2. He looks competitive here, but I am concerned with his number of races.

Post – 9 – MOONLITE RUN
Odds – 9/1
Owner – chillingfarms3
Pedigree – DORTMUND x INDIAN RIDGE x MINING – Scratch Bred

Moonlite Run has 2 wins in 3 starts. He won his first start versus maiden foes. His second start was in the Vilnus Kid Dirt Juvenile. He tried to come from off the pace put spotted the front runners too many lengths and was not able to make them up. His third start versus allowance NW2L he was closer to the pace and was able to finish well winning by over 4 lengths with an 87 speed rating. That speed rating fits well here but he needs to show it versus tougher competition here.

Post – 10 – JOHNNY Z
Odds – 6/1
Owner – babies7
Pedigree – MR. He has not seen a victory since but has been facing increasingly more difficult competition. His speed ratings have climbed to an 89 which was earned in the G2 Hoserhead Juvenile. That would put him in the mix and maybe he would see a better finish with some racing luck.

Post – 11 – EXCELSIS ENERGY
Odds – 9/2
Owner – desimster2
Pedigree – TAPIT x SMART STRIKE x DEPUTY MINISTER – Dam Bred (EXCELSIS DEO)

Exdelsis Energy has 2 starts to his credit. He won at 7 furlongs at the maiden level in his first start. His 2nd start was versus allowance NW2L where he was a game 2nd earning an 81 speed figure. May need to see a little improvement to be competitive but he is a potential contender here.

Post – 12 – TEDDY THE BEAR
Odds – 11/1
Owner – nycowboy
Pedigree – LION HEART x SMARTY JONES x GIANT’S CAUSEWAY – Dam Bred (KHALEESI JONES)

Teddy The Bear has 6 starts to his credit but has yet to get his picture taken. Has shown decent speed with 4 races at 75 speed ratings or higher. Since he has yet to face a field with winners in it, he has a tough task here. Think this may be too difficult for him here and would prefer to see him in a softer field.

Post – 13 – SEA CITI
Odds – 12/1
Owner – deeprock33
Pedigree – SEA THE MOON (GER) x ELUSIVE QUALITY x CITIDANCER – Dam Bred (TOP CHEFFE)

Sea Citi saw success early with a win in his first start. He posted a 79 in the G2 The Stanford but finished 9th beaten 3 ¼ lengths. Will need to step up here to be competitive.

California (CA) Sunday, September 2, 2018 — 3:00:00 PM EST | Race ID : 1946917 Dell Computer Futurity Grade I

[2

post-46543","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-previews
["GET
