He had a second place finish last time out at an allowance race in South Korea where he ran 110 speed over twelve furlongs. This will be his first Graded Stakes start and just his second start at this distance and only his third greater than ten furlongs. He comes in well rested and should have enough stamina to handle the distance but he may be over matched against this group.<\/p>\n

He makes a big jump here to Grade 2 for the first time and also is stretching things out with his previous longest starts only covering ten and a half furlongs. Not sure if he can handle the extra distance and he might be over matched against this competitive group of nine.<\/p>\n

He comes off a nice win just four weeks ago where he ran 97 speed in a come from behind win by half a length. He has had success at this distance in the past and has proven that he can go the distance. However, his speed numbers have declined in his past two and he will need speed against this group to be in the mix.<\/p>\n

He has had a busy year with this being his seventh start already although he seems to like the busy schedule and has responded well most times out. This will be his second Graded Stakes start at this distance with the first being at the Grade 3 Barberville where he finished twelfth. Not sure if he will compete here today and I might try giving him a long break before bringing him back for his next start.<\/p>\n
