The Knabstrupper breed was first established in 1812 in Denmark. A chestnut mare with leopard complex blanket markings was bred to a solid-colored stallion, producing a colt with dramatic spotting. The mare and her son were each bred to many other horses, producing many offspring with spotting and establishing the Knabstrupper as a breed. They do well in dressage and show jumping, and are used in general riding, as carriage horses and as circus horses. Knabstruppers today are bred in Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, Italy, Germany, Netherland, United Kingdom, USA, and, most recently, Czech Republic, Australia and New Zealand. Today we are riding “Zebra” and “Dalmatian”.
My guest today is Flip Gossett, a twenty-one year veteran Jockey out of California. Flip is the career leader in wins and money earned in the SIM with more than seventy-three hundred wins and close to half a billion dollars in winnings. Flip is single and enjoys playing the guitar and golfing in his spare time.

I’m DUNN and this is “JOCKEYS ON HORSES GETTING MILK”!

Dunn (on phone): Hey Flip its Dunn, I’m in the neighborhood and have two great horses for us. I love an underdog and I hope that this horse continues to improve and that I get a chance to ride him in a big race sometime in the near future.

Dunn: It has been great getting to know you today Flip.
