As I mentioned in my preview, there was lots of early speed in this race and it looked like a rush to the sale table as the doors open at Walmart on the day after Thanksgiving. From the start or the race to the half, there were six horses in front that had less than a length and a half between them. One of those frontrunners, FLOWERATS <\/b> had enough left at the end to pull away and win rather easily in the Fast Lane Stakes<\/strong>here in Iowa this weekend.<\/p>\n

FLOWERATS <\/b> who was the second choice in the Morning Line, was captained by top jockey O.Brooks and ran a nearly perfect race that enabled her to gain her 3rd victory in only 3 tries and remain undefeated in her young career. She now has over $123k in earnings for trainer Darnath2 and looks like she is just hitting her stride. She ran her fastest race with a sizzling 80.73 SPF and now has moved up to number six in the turf filly rankings. <\/p>\n

As predicted, there was plenty of early speed in the race with our winner in that early front running pack along with the leader and GIVE IT ASHOT <\/b> and HAWKLAH <\/b>. Neither of these fillies could hold up to the fast pace and dropped down to fourth and fifth at the finish. PT’S MS ROCK <\/b> and NAVAJO WELLS <\/b> started at the back and finished strong to finish second and third. NAVAJO WELLS <\/b> put on a furious charge and it is a good thing that this race wasn\u2019t a bit longer. She looks like she is ready for longer distances already. <\/p>\n

Darnath2 has quite a special horse in the stable and has to be really excited about the prospects of this beautiful filly. I for one will be watching and admiring this filly as she finishes up her two year old campaign.<\/p>\n
