A small field of six have accepted runs with a mix of claiming winners to grade placed runners all forwarding their case for G3 glory. Rain has sprinkled the track and it has therefore been rated as good. We will now take a look at how I think they will finish:

1st – SNAPPY HERO(AUS) – will jump from gate 3 and based on last run is my top pick. Her first run on a rain affected track was a cracker as she took out the G2 Mellow Breeze Handicap posting a career high SP of 94. Before that she was well beaten in stakes company after winning back to back starter allowances. From rags to riches, this bargain bred lass has turned into a giant killer and will be at home with some give in the ground. Posted at 4/1, she has won five of seven races on dirt and is looking for her sixth win since the start of the year.

2nd – BUNNY FOR RANSON(IRE) – 2007 has seen her post an allowance win, a stakes place and her last two runs have seen her win back to back stakes races at 7f. She is posted at 9/5 after winning four of six races and placing twice on dirt as well as posting previous SP’s around the mid 90’s. Breeding indicates the 8.5f will be a walk in the park which leaves the only question of will she handle some give in the ground. If she does, she most probably wins, however Snappy Hero has proved herself and has justified top rank for me.

3rd – DON’T PROPHESIZE(IRE) – posted at 9/2, she has won five of eight on dirt including her stakes win last time out at 9.5f. Looking for her fifth win this year but I think although she may find the top pair to quick, she is a genuine ITM chance. Her four length stakes win is a big plus for me and she must certainly post a quicker SP here this week to hit the board. Breeding has quite some stamina so it will be an interesting venture back to 8.5f but she loves to lead and go wire to wire so this may just suit her. Jumping from the inside chute will also help her cause.

4th – PANDORITA(KY) – nice two length allowance win last time out at this trip when going wire to wire and at one point having an eight length lead. Also loves to lead but may relinquish those duties to the filly drawn at chute 1. She is G2 placed and a multiple listed stakes winner on turf and although developing when switched to dirt, she appears capable on both surfaces. Could steel a spot in the top three if she handles the give in the ground and would be my 2nd or 3rd pick if she had won dirt stakes. Well bred for this trip and one to look out for.

5th – HOOTERS IN MAY(JPN) – has shown great ability on both slightly and heavily affected ground with best results as a 2yo. She is a three time stakes winner who appears to be out of form, even unable to fire a shot in allowance class of late. The rain affected dirt brings her into the race but she needs a big form reversal to get near the top picks. Trip should be no worries for this heavily raced filly, but with her recent racing I just cannot have her.

6th – AZROC IN FRONT(GB) – this lass is posted at 15/1 outsider but I do not believe she is that far behind this group. Looking for her fourth consecutive win here after running 2nd in her first run on dirt, then went on to win back to back on dirt and last time out win on turf. She has two claiming wins to her name but I think she will put in a better performance in this with the switch back to dirt a good one. Normally wouldn’t even get a look in at G3 level but with limited entries and a average field, why not give her a crack.

Good luck to all!

[2

post-4160","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-previews
["GET
