Race favorite Breakdance<\/b> found a little extra jump well into the stretch to capture a victory in this week\u2019s Brigadoon(GB) Special. This is her second stakes win of the season, as well as her career. The win takes her to the $168,427 mark in earnings in her nineteen starts. She also moves to a ranking of 307 in the Turf Classic division and bolstered her Turf Sprint ranking which is 140 after this run. Pretty much as expected, there wre no parties at the betting window this week, the the winner paying a slim $3.90 $2.10 $2.10 across the board. Exotic payouts were minimal as well, with the exacta paying $11.90, and a payout of $20.50 in the trifecta.<\/p>\n
K\u2019s Bonveka<\/b> broke out on top early, managing to open up a small gap with the rest of the field sitting virtually neck and neck right off her tail. As they approached the half, the pack was finally beginning to break up behind her, and she found herself holding just under two lengths on the field as they moved pas the half post. That was when Breakdance made her move, applying pressure to the leader all throuhg the second half. K\u2019s Bonveka held on gamely, and as the crossed into the stretch, she seemed to hold off the advance, at just under a length and look like she may be able to bring it home. About halfway down the stretch though, Breakdance found another gear and surged past, crossing the wire a length and three quarters ahead of K\u2019s Bonveka. Meatball Hero<\/b> took third pace honors, five and a half out at the wire.<\/p>\n
