The race is named after the mare Exbourne’s Heart who was a 3 times stakes winner while ammasing 6 lifetime wins and $169,157 in career earnings.<\/P>

This 1794th divisional ranked mare was a $4000 claim for the current connections in 2005. Since that claim she has has a record of 2 wins in 34 races. She has yet to win in 13 lifetime stakes starts and last ran in a sprint race in the early part of the 2006 racing season. While she races best when close to the lead her current form tends to make her non competitive in this race today. The plus side is that she will earn a cheque with there only being 5 entries in this race. Ritorto (14.1%) bring his riding skills to this one today.<\/P> 2)WARHEADS—4\/1—<\/STRONG>sdmf5 sends out this 4 year old filly out of\u00a0 E DUBAI with a record of 20-5-4-1 and lifetime earnings of $143,014. This 264th divisional ranked filly started her career on the dirt and switched to the turf in the 2006 season. She is 0 for 7 in lifetime stakes starts. She usually posts speed ratings in the low 90’s and does possess some closing speed. She has won most of her money sprinting but seems to usually come up short in the stretch drives. Goodson (3.6%) will be looking for his 2nd win of the year aboard this one today.<\/P> 3)BATTLE ROCKET—4\/1—<\/STRONG>dillard sends out this 4 year old filly out of AWESOME SWORD with a record of 16-4-1-5 and lifetime earnings of $114,252. This 496th divisional ranked filly has not won a race since her 2 year old campaign where she showed promise in winning 2 stakes races. While she usually finishes in the top 5 she has not managed to win since. She did start in the 2006 equinics filly sprint finishing 12th in a field of 19. Her last race equalled her lifetime best 96 speed rating and her even running style should place her on the board in today’s race. Her chances are raised by having the services of on of the circuits top riders in Friar (20%).<\/P> 4)THE BLUE SWORD(GB)—6\/5—<\/STRONG>aalusive sends out this 4 year old filly out of DIESIS(GB) with a record of 20-8-2-2 and lifetime earnings of $301,530. This 2068th divisional ranked filly started her career in a big way winning her 1st 4 lifetime starts at 2 year old including\u00a0 2 stakes races. She won a 3rd stakes race on the dirt in her 2 year old finale and she has raced on dirt ever since. She was not able to get to the winner’s circle in any black type races last year albeit showed back to back triple digit speed ratings in her final 2 races of the year. The last was a 2nd place stakes finish where she posted a 102 speed rating. Her drop in speed rating this year has prompted her connections to make the surface change in this race, and they hope to recapture some of her early career success in this race today. Stinson (10.5%) gets the call in the irons today.<\/P> 5)STORM HUNTER—9\/5—<\/STRONG>dagrims2 sends out this 4 year old filly out of STORM CAT with a record of $28-8-14-2 and lifetime earnings of $465,115. This 28th divisional ranked filly started her career on the dirt but has raced exclusively on the lawn since early in the 2006 season. At one point last year she had 14 consecutive finishes of 1st or 2nd and she has 2 wins in 15 career stakes starts. While her speed ratings are usually in the low to mid 90’s she has popped out a couple of 106 speed ratings in her career which would be tough to beat in this race today. She is a stalker and should sit fairly close to the pace in this compact field. Bowen (19.1%) will then try to sprint her past everyone to the wire in the stretch drive.<\/P> A small but competitive field for today’s feature race.
