Undefeated Barb’s Dubia highlight the Their Capote Challenge this week at Ontario, the 7f dirt race carry’s a purse of $75,000.\u00a0\u00a0
#1 BARB’S DUBIA<\/FONT><\/STRONG><\/EM>\u00a0\u00a0 will break from the rail as the 9\/5 favorite.\u00a0 Undefeated in four tries, he’s just shy of $100k in earnings.\u00a0 The two time stakes winner is currently ranked 18th, and loves to please his fans with excitingly close finishes (3 of the 4 by less then a lenght).\u00a0 Last time out was a 3\/4 win in the Babes Plates Stakes at 6.5f SP87.
#2 FREEDM SLAVE<\/FONT><\/STRONG><\/EM>\u00a0\u00a0 is 4\/1-0-1.\u00a0 He struggled on the turf his first three tries, only winning once with a SP62.\u00a0 Switch to dirt last time improvement his SP to 79, and placing 3rd.
Needs to improve once again.
#3 EAGLE SWORD<\/FONT><\/STRONG><\/EM>\u00a0\u00a0 is 3\/1-0-1 by Griffinite.\u00a0 He won 1st time out with a solid SP75 over 5.5f dirt, then placed a decent stakes 6th (against a field of 12), and last last out was allowance 3rd at 7f SP79.\u00a0 Needs to improve, but a top 3 isn’t out of the question.
#4 MAGPIES PARK<\/FONT><\/EM><\/STRONG>\u00a0\u00a0 is looks like he has potential, a son of Ecton Park ran 2nd first time out SP77 at 4.5f, then with added distance he won 7f’s with a SP79.\u00a0 Both msw against full fields, jumps into stakes company and could be ready for the challenge.
#5 STROLLPRINCE<\/FONT><\/EM><\/STRONG>\u00a0\u00a0 is the longshot of the field, Stroll x Pulpit.\u00a0 He won a msw 1st time out SP77 on 2405!\u00a0 But in his next three tries he failed to do better then 11th \ud83d\ude41\u00a0\u00a0 Don’t you hate horses that run great fto then can’t repeat it.\u00a0 Breeder sigone, decide that was enough to slappy became the new owner (via auction?), a deadlast in nw2l resulted in a drop to the claiming rankes 6f $20,000.\u00a0 Mikeb most of saw untapped potential as he put in the claim, the result was a win with a SP71…\u00a0 Now a jump to stakes…
#6 THE USUAL<\/FONT><\/EM><\/STRONG>\u00a0\u00a0 is a solid colt by Hennessy x Roar, with a 3\/1-2-0 record.\u00a0 Winner of msw 1st time out, SP77.\u00a0 He’s since placed 2nd in a pair of stakes, SP80 and 85.\u00a0 The last was the 6.5f Babes Plate where he placed behind today’s favorite Barbs Dubia, can he get his revenge today?\u00a0 We will see.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
