Drawing the deuce is Futurestar’s Strong Science<\/STRONG>.\u00a0 Tabbed at 10-1,\u00a0The Empire Maker four year old from the stakes winning Galileo mare Canaima(ire)\u00a0looms a\u00a0possible\u00a0contender based on his current form.\u00a0 Like the rail horse, Strong Science exits an Indiana stake.\u00a0 The difference is that Strong Science won his posting a career best 99 speed rating.\u00a0 Futurestar’s homebred is untested in graded company and must bring his “A” game to\u00a0threaten in here.\u00a0\u00a0<\/DIV>

Next comes another son of Empire Maker, Almightymi’s\u00a0Empire Shaker<\/STRONG>.\u00a0 The big four year old is a good news\/bad news horse.\u00a0 The good news is that the son of graded winner Doctor Opal is battle tested in graded company.\u00a0 He’s finished second or third in three graded tests including a brilliant second in the Grade I Judgemont International.\u00a0 The bad news is that he’s lost fifteen straight races and may have lost his competitive edge.\u00a0 Been known to open huge leads only to be caught late.\u00a0 Your guess is as good as mine.<\/DIV>

Primetime Pimp<\/STRONG> is a well bred (Forty Niner x Danzig x Sadler’s Wells) but modestly performed colt.\u00a0 He\u00a0hit the board\u00a0in a pair of minor stakes earlier this year.\u00a0 SS89’s homebred did manage a third in allowance company over this track last time out so he may have a home field advantage.\u00a0 Tough spot for his graded debut.<\/DIV>

Db’s Neon Swan<\/STRONG> arrives in New York following a sharp second place finish in the New South Wales Grade II Big City Cap.\u00a0 The\u00a0powerfully built son of Festival of Light\u00a0and\u00a0the fine producer Nureyev Native opened up an enormous lead, only to succumb to the fierce late brush of multi millionaire Bristol\u00a0Rovers.\u00a0 Neon Swan won\u00a0a grade II in Sweden last season and certainly fits\u00a0in here with his best effort.\u00a0<\/DIV>

Noia’s Red Loop<\/STRONG> is a multiple stakes winner and graded placed.\u00a0 The rangy Red Ransom colt was a nice second in a Virginia stake last time out and\u00a0won a Connecticut allowance the time before.\u00a0 Gets the services of veteran journeyman Rip Engel in the saddle for this affair and must pick up his game to challenge these.\u00a0 <\/DIV>

Longshot Fossil Ridge<\/STRONG>(aus) drew the seven slot.\u00a0 Since being haltered for $25,000\u00a0four starts back, the Zeditave(aus) three year old has won two of three for new conditioner Dwightski.\u00a0 Very nice claim but will find these foes much too strong.<\/DIV>

The Vanguard<\/STRONG> races for trainer Vanguard and will carry leading rider Nick Lawton postward Saturday.\u00a0 This\u00a0colt may be a good wager at 8-1 because he has done little wrong in his brief career and looks like he’s got even more to give.\u00a0 Finished\u00a0second to Irish Derby winner Cortez(ire) and well ahead of the legendary Sunnybank Memorial last time out in the Grade I Classic Turf Stakes right here in New York.\u00a0\u00a0Has the sharp form and killer pedigree (Sadler’s Wells x Lear Fan x Bold Ruler) needed to\u00a0spring the upset.<\/DIV>

Cornholio Juice<\/STRONG>(ire) is campaigned by the highly successful trainer Andycapper.\u00a0 The Montjeu(ire) sophomore won a ten furlong allowance here last time out.\u00a0 Did win a minor stake last year but finds a most difficult spot for his graded debut.<\/DIV>

Rank outsider Silent Success<\/STRONG> has been claimed twice recently.\u00a0 Did reward his newest connections, Cylla2222, with an impressive victory in a first level allowance event.\u00a0 But the son of Vindication hasn’t shown enough to consider him a threat in graded company this week.<\/DIV>

Waradmiral’s favored Jumpin’ Java<\/STRONG> heads this contentious group.\u00a0 He was third behind Cortez(ire) and The Vanguard last time out.\u00a0 Prior to that he annexed the Grade II Winchester Park Cup at this exact distance.\u00a0 The Java Gold colt will be reunited with Paul Davis who rode him in The Classic Turf Stakes.\u00a0\u00a0Veteran turf\u00a0warrior\u00a0is looking to go over half a million in lifetime earnings and any check will do the trick.\u00a0 May deserve his status as favorite but I feel he is underlaid at 5-2.\u00a0 There is better value elsewhere.<\/DIV>

Gucci To Try<\/STRONG> is by Sadler’s Wells from the lightly raced LNLN The Pooh (Nashwan).\u00a0 Trainer Loisblack’s charge is unplaced in three previous graded tries and that scenario is likely to be repeated on Saturday.\u00a0 Nice horse but overmatched.\u00a0 Another time.\u00a0 Another place.<\/DIV>

Lucky post thirteen goes to Seattle Rap Ted<\/STRONG> from the March2nd barn.\u00a0 The son of Brahms easily won a mile and a half\u00a0allowance test in Texas last time out.\u00a0 He has experience facing graded foes and did manage a third place finish in the Grade III Roy Rogers earlier this year.\u00a0 But for the most part, his graded efforts have\u00a0been poor.\u00a0 Looks overmatched on paper.<\/DIV>
\u00a0<\/DIV>
Last but not least is the other horse trained by Loisblack, Wonderboy Dot NL<\/STRONG>.\u00a0\u00a0I’m not sure what to make of this one’s chances.\u00a0 He has not raced on grass in over two years.\u00a0 He won one of two lifetime turf races at two.\u00a0 He’s a multiple stakes winner and graded placed on the main track.\u00a0 And he can run forever so the distance is no problem.\u00a0 I’m guessing the muscular Van Nistelrooy colt will make his presence felt here.\u00a0 He’s listed\u00a0at 5-1 so the oddsmaker agrees with me.<\/DIV>
