He ran a very nice 106 speed figure to grab his fourth career stakes victory. The win moves him up to a rank of 65 in the older Turf Classic division, and it pushes his earnings to $357285 for his career. With only twenty four starts, he still has plenty of racing in front of him. Bettors made a tidy profit this week, with the winner paying $8.90 $4.50 $3.60 across the board, and contributing to a nice $55.20 exacta and $324.60 trifecta.

Jet Boy took charge from the gate, and in the early going he was shadowed by a group of three just off the pace. If the stalkers were looking to tire him, they had very little success, as he opened up just over three lengths on the field at the half. The big question that most race fans were asking just past the half was: Where are the closers? Jet Boy had opened up five and a half as they turned for home, with no one threatening. As they hit the stretch, the closers finally did start to fire, looking to make it an interesting finish, but there was just too much ground to make up in too little distance. Get More Minutes shaved off three and a half lengths down the stretch to finish second, out two and three quarters. Last year’s winner Barb’s Comfort(IRE) ate up six lengths of cushion down the stretch, but had to settle for third, three and a half out at the wire.

[3

post-3297","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-reviews
["GET
