The three of these that are ranked in the Sims top 100 might have thought this would be an easy spot, but their NWRC rivals sure made it tough on them here. There’s a nice blend of competitors signed on, including Maidens and an undefeated horse vying for the winners share of a quarter of a million dollar purse. A firm turf course is predicted for this 1 1/16 “battle of the babes”. Let’s take a closer look.

Race ID:3028.0112
Race # 12

— Owner Restricted
Stakes
A mile and one sixteenth
Firm Turf
$250,000
Fillies and mares, 2 years old — RESTRICTED TO PARTICULAR OWNERS

PP Horse ID Horse Owner Jockey
1 85248 GALILEO’S DANCER(IRE) sledge4 LJones 9/1
2 93077 SEYONNE feedbucket K Keyser 5/1
3 66252 THE KING’S HUNTER(IRE) ticketman0 O Brim 9/1
4 76495 SET THE CLOCK deantroops R Young 8/1
5 69696 ROCK N ROYAL squirrel2 M Billig 6/1
6 63434 JACOBITE GOLDTOKEN thewarrior J Pimental 12/1
7 112966 DAMNED IFYOU DON’T marmac M Staples 6/1
8 127613 GRAND WELCOME deputysam W Rogers 12/1
9 118684 IN THE RING cgk F Allen 13/1
10 47023 ADDYANDABBY(GB) trifecta3 Mc Cooper 8/1
11 115384 HOUSE OF PRIDE goldcity R Simcox 8/1
12 119380 MAST QUEST dblh C Mecklenburg 13/1

1> GALILEO’S DANCER(IRE) sledge4 (Galileo (Ire)/Langfuhr) She’s done little wrong so far, winning half of her six starts and hitting the board in five of those. She’s won two of her three Stakes tries, albeit against smallish fields. But haven’t all the non Graded baby races been light this year? She’s a very nice price for an accomplished Stakes winner with a level running style stretching out. One of the ones.

2> SEYONNE feedbucket (Woodman/Affirmed) This undefeated miss has done nothing wrong so far in her young career. After two dirt sprint wins she stretched out nicely on the grass, posting a higher speed number than any of these have ever achieved winning a NWRC Marathon allowance race in a very nice time. She’s your favorite and the one to beat.

3> THE KING’S HUNTER ticketman0 (Azzamour(Ire)/King Of Kings) Little respect at the windows for this winner of her last two. She’ll be close to pace in this race void of a true pacesetter. Two of the fillies she beat in her last race have came back to win. Exclude at your own risk.

4> SET THE CLOCK deantroops (Mine Shaft/Red Ransom) She’s taken to the sod in her last two, breaking her maiden last out. No knocks on her breeding, but nothing special about the field she beat and I can’t pick ’em all. One for 49 jock aboard. I’m leaving her off my tickets.

5> ROCK N ROYAL squirrel2 (Royal Academy/Theatrical(Ire) She’s ran extremely well against two straight large fields in turf routes. While she has no Stakes wins yet, she lost to a nice favorite in her last. Can’t count her out of this with her nice breeding.

6> JACOBITE GOLDTOKEN thewarrior (Broken Vow/Java Gold) One of the two maidens entered in here. She improved with a little added ground in her last race, but this will be acid test. It looks like she’ll appreciate the added distance. Tough spot to break maiden though.

7> DAMNED IFYOU DON’T marmac (City Zip/Danehill) Since being switched to the grass she’s won her last three straight after a close second. She’s handled the “boys” in two of those races… easily. She sure looked good on the stretchout in her last, a Stakes victory. Has had more rest coming in to this than most. I’m damned if I don’t put her on my short list of serious contenders in here.

8> GRAND WELCOME deputysam (Orientate/Grand Lodge(Ire) She sure looked good stretching out in her second start, winning easily. She showed nice tactical speed and could get first run here. Despite that modest number she put up, she won so nice that she has the look of a “Surprise Package”.

9> IN THE RING cgk (Two Punch/General Meeting) She looks like she’ll be free-wheeling on the lead and making anyone designed on stealing this think twice. But this will be her first distance race and it doesn’t appear that she’ll be sticking around when the real running begins.

10> ADDYANDABBY (GB) trifecta3 (Beat Hollow(GB)/Blushing Groom(Fr) She’s got a fairly nice running style for this and has won her only route. But she’ll need to improve leaps and bounds to threaten the upper echelon in here.

11> HOUSE OF PRIDE goldcity (Proud Citizen/Chester House) She’s got the most experience in the field, making her ninth start. She just beat the boys in her last, but with all those races a short three week rest, we’ve probably seen her best. Not using.

12> MAST QUEST dblh (Mizzen Mast/Rainbow Quest) The other maiden. She ran pretty well in her last start and has been facing some bulky fields. But she’s another coming in to this off of a short rest and she’ll just have to beat me.

Boy… if I ever I ever were to duck a prediction, this would be the one, but…My Picks: 7/8/2/3

[2

post-3263","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-previews
["GET
