The weather guesser has forcasted a beautiful crisp sunny fall day here and that means firm footing for this contingent vying for the 135,000$ winners share of the 250,000$ purse.
AWESOME GIANT has been instilled as the 7/2 morning line favorite, but he’ll face a stiff test from several interesting foes. The NWRC knows that I’ll be hoping the lines maker is right, as A.G. will be wearing the ELITE Division leading victoryrun silks. Let’s take a closer look at the entire field.

Race ID:3028.0111
Race # 11

— Owner Restricted
Stakes
One mile
Firm Turf
$250,000
All horses, 3 years old and up — RESTRICTED TO PARTICULAR OWNERS

PP Horse ID Horse Owner Jockey Odds W / P / S
1 22885 AMERICAN QUEST bagpuss L Jones 7/1
2 97406 VUJA DAY haulinoats R Simcox 5/1
3 25730 UNSTINTING bigmoose J Pimental 16/1
4 44158 CLOUDSCAPE jdawg08 M Lannoo 27/1
5 76025 CHAMPLAND BAND shane03 M Dorsey 6/1
6 20642 FUSAICHI MAGPIE punter59 R Hoffman 5/1
7 45724 WHISPER be1stfarms O Brim 8/1
8 104378 AWESOME GIANT(IRE) victoryrun M Staples 7/2
9 38307 GRAND SAHKEE heythere T Steinlicht 8/1
10 88708 HIT IN MID AMERICA kaif011 M Billig 8/1
11 29443 LEADER OF THE PACK(IRE) cgk F Allen 18/1

1> AMERICAN QUEST bagpuss While this four year son of Coranado’s Quest has been shut out this year, he looks like the speed of the race and that could be a dangerous comodity. Two of his recent losses were to the “Giant”, but if he gets clear and comfortable early he could turn the tables.

2> VUJA DAY haulinoats The first of two 5-1 second choices is on the short stack of wins, with only two. He’s a sophmore with no turf wins facing a 20 time winner with 19 grass victories. So why is favored over that foe? Probably because this stone cold closer comes in to this with a 105 figure in a Grade 3, the highest in this field. That was on the dirt just two short weeks ago. His only grass race was an okay second. No doubt this youngster is talented, but this sure is a tough spot to grab your first turf win. X- Factor.

3> UNSTINTING bigmoose This longshot sophmore has exotics appeal. If you go back to only race at this distance you see a win with a competitive number. That was on off going and his last four won’t remotely threaten here. He could run on for a slice.

4> CLOUDSCAPE jdawg08 She’s the first of three fillies signed on. She’s done her best work against claimers, but her new trainer sure has become ambitious. Since claiming her for 50K she finished last against allowance company and was blasted in a Grade 1 last out. Now this?

5> CHAMPLAND BAND shane03 Ultra consistent against allowance foes and his numbers aren’t bad either. But when we look at his Stakes adventures we see he may be out classed here. His last three are sharp though and he might be ready for a better effort this time around.

6> FUSAICHI MAGPIE punter59 The other second choice is an 11 time winner with a bankroll over a half mil. While he did have a nice three race winning streak a short time ago, he seems to tailing off. His last three were all lower numbers than his previous five. Needs to rebound with poor jock.

7> WHISPER be1stfarms The lone old mare here at seven has a hefty bankroll and 20 wins. While she loves to win and has consistent numbers, this is a big step up from 5+ restricted mare races that she’s ran in her last several. I might be wrong, but I invision a minor award at best.

8> AWESOME GIANT(IRE) victoryrun The favorite. He won both of his NWRC Series races in fine fashion and comes in to this off of a third place finish against Grade 2 company. Back to back triple digit numbers and most of his races showing would get the job done here. The only chink in his armor is his running style. He’s a closer in a race void of early speed. The worthy favorite is vulnerable.

9> GRAND SAKEE heythere Hey there! This guy just might be the upsetter. He’s got some numbers that put him right in the mix and he has “tactical speed” to put just off the leader and get first run on the closers. Can he pass horses in the stretch for the win? Good question.

10> HIT IN MID AMERICA kaif011 This girl has a simular style to the former. Except she has shown the ability to pass horses when the real racing begins. This will a serious class test in her first run against the boys, but she just might be up to it.

11> LEADER OF THE PACK(IRE) cgk This sophmore filly looks to be better suited for elongated turf sprints and probably needs a much softer group than the salty turf route pros signed on in here. Her last two turf route numbers are 86 & 80. That puts her near the back of the pack with these.

PREDICTIONS: 10/8/1 “Just My Opinion” Good Luck Folks>>>

[2

post-3250","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-previews
["GET
