I\u2019m looking to throw some \u201cHail Mary\u2019s\u201d as that 1,000 BP goal I set for myself in a 6-month time frame is becoming harder to reach. I\u2019ve picked up a runner through a claim and next week I have 5 that will go to post. <\/p>\n
Results<\/p>\n
KID ALLIANCE ran poorly in his last start against allowance company. Things changed this week as he was entered into a long sprint race in a much lower $12,500 claim race. The field was a good size with 11 running and Kid Alliance was pegged the 8\/5 favorite. He ran 9th early on but made a successful move at the half and circled around the field and drew off to a stride win. Got a F-card and 15 BP\u2019s.<\/p>\n
Seeing 12\/1 odds on your horse is not appealing and it looked bad attached to STORM THRU IT ALL. And the odds did reflect his chances as he finished 9th in a field of 11 claim runners that went for a tag of $12,500. Zilch on the BP collection and one G-card. This guy hasn\u2019t done well and is going off to the auction.<\/p>\n
COSA BELLA made her first start and ran in a small four horse field in a $12,500 claiming dirt race. She has primarily raced in local breds and this week there was just not a fit for her in that type of race. She trailed in the rear early on and passed one other horse to finish third, getting 17 BP\u2019s and one G-card. At this point, I\u2019m placing her in the farm and I\u2019m thinking of breeding her.<\/p>\n
Stable Changes<\/p>\n
With Storm Thru It All going on the auction block, it\u2019s time to fill the gap and my newly bred horse from sire cards, The Four \u2018F\u2019 Club is now in the stable and is training for her first start.<\/p>\n
Added another runner to the farm with a claim on CJ\u2019s MR. AWESOME. It cost me $10,000 for the claim and a costly 20 BP\u2019s. I was disappointed with the outing as he dropped from allowance hot races to the claim and finished 6th with an 82 speed. He\u2019s very capable of 90\u2019s and I\u2019m hoping he will shrug that off and improve when he\u2019s upped to the stable. Just a side note, this guy is also a Hot Race demon, so it has that devilish badge, but not the reason I pursued him. This will take the place of Cosa Bella who is back to the farm.<\/p>\n
