That is why there is the ongoing animosity between the WRC and WHOA. It seems the WRC sets up their featured race with any horse that may have won a stakes level race, even if it may have been a fluke or one shot deal. This is something that WHOA finds unacceptable, stating that there are more than a fair share of excellent retired horses that deserve a to be honored by a featured stakes race. They have once again voiced their displeasure of the renewal of the Pro Farm Memorial this weekend for that reason. The only redeeming things about the race, the spokesperson for WHOA says, it that the horse the race is named after had actually run in Wyoming, and well. The second was, the quality of the horses in the race and the resultant run. It may well be that the WRC is pinning their hopes on a return to this level of race. Will history repeat itself where the winner comes storming from way in the back to take the win?
Any way, the featured race for Saturday, as stated, is the Pro Farm Memorial that will cover eleven furlongs on a dry fast track. It is slated once again for three year or older horses on the dirt. Six horses have entered and it looks to be a good field. So lets take a look at these six routers.
John Butler entered by quiggy2. This sophomore returns to Wyoming for another stakes run. He won that July stakes race by a length and is looking to repeat. This is another short field where he does well and coming off the pole position just enhances his chances. He likes to stalk the race, but will need a good jump from the gates to be effective.
Learning Award entered by chesterman. This elder chestnut colt comes in as one of the favorites. The colt has been through many trainers and when the current trainer got him off claimers, he initially stayed in sprints. This didn’t result in much so the colt was stretched out and immediacy responded with a win. Since then he has been on the board in every race. The horse likes to sit in the middle of the pack until he makes his move in the stretch, which has been very effective for him.
Leno‘s Chin entered by kingmambo. If anyone has watched Late Night you can see where this horse got his name. He is a big square headed, lantern jawed veteran with sixteen wins under the saddle. He is a front runner that likes to wear down his competition, but has a tendency to over extend on occasions. He returns to Wyoming still looking for that fist trip to the winner’s circle.
Wyomissing entered by grnflgrcng. This elder light grey elder colt comes in a little inconsistent recently. That may be because this is his seventeenth race of the season and he may be getting a little tired. Or maybe the reason is being raised from starter to stake competition. He likes routing and closing on the field. An interesting name choice, but can’t figure if he likes comes to Wyoming of would rather give it a pass.
Gnome Rome entered by smubholdem. This is another veteran coming in as an early favorite. He has been in the money all season, but has struggled at times with the chosen distances. He seems to prefer it right around eleven furlongs so this race could be just the ticket for him. He is one of those horses that likes to run but doesn’t really have a favorite style and goes with the opportunity at hoof.
Lara‘s Saintly entered by larastable. This horse is the elder statesman of the group and is closing in on $1M in earnings. This grade one winner has been running solid all season, even if some of the results have not been to his liking. He is another front runner that likes to challenge the rest of the field to beat him. He draws the hot jockey John Dawg in his first run on the high plains of Wyoming.

[2,3,1

post-3222","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-previews","category-reviews","category-uncategorized
["GET
