Consolidator Cielo nursed a short lead as they entered the stretch, but the early duel took its toll, and the closers caught him. When the dust cleared at the wire, Popping Bubbles had crossed the wire a scant three quarter length ahead of Flying Fortress BG to nail down the victory.
