update: It has been a challenge!

Not a great week with only one of three runners delivering some BP’s this week for my Thechallenge stable. Maybe with summer coming to an end I’ll have a nice change with the fall season….maybe.

Results

KID ALLIANCE won last time out in a claimer, which is where I picked this runner up but I could not get him into a desired race so he went into a more aggressive allowance field where I did not expect much. At 8/1 he met the expectations and finished last in the field. Hoping for better opportunities down the road. G-card was drawn from the deck

A much better time and placement was had by HALF TANKED who ran in a $7,500 claiming race. He was the favored one at 3/1 in the eleven horse field and ran very nicely coming in second and staying in Ohio there was no shipping penalty, so 20 BP’s were nice to pocket. Another common G-card came my way.

CHALLENGED ONE, if anything, is appropriately named. This G-card bred has become a tough one to manage. He was pulled off the dirt in favor of the grass to see if there was any fit there and was entered into a $2,000 6-furlong race and at 20/1 odds, he produced nothing. Although he did have his best speed, it wasn’t good enough finishing 6th. No BP’s and only a G-card draw. He’s off to the auction.

Stable Changes

Starting the week with 1-E, 1-F and 24-G cards, I upgraded. I traded in 10-G cards for a pair of F-cards. Then I took the E, the 3-F cards and bred a horse using the E-card to fill the sire slot. I ended up with a female 3-year old named SOLID KASH CARD. This used my token “Kash” name brand for horses and the “Solid” appears on the E-cards. The “card” part is self-explanatory. She comes out of the sire Rothesay, who is primarily a grass breeder and surprisingly cheap at 21 credits as of the breeding but has nice breedinglines within. Comedy Show came up as the DS and is more of a dirt runner and features Distorted Humor and Forty Niner in the bloodline. Duelled was drawn as the DSS and seems to favor the grass with also some decent blood in the pedigree.

Solid Kash Card has been added to the stable to replace the auctioned Challenged One

Totals

SIRE CARDS:

Three G-cards picked up this week.

TOTAL CARDS:

After exchanging a few cards, I now have 17 G-cards in the deck.

BP’s:

Not a great week with only 20 BP’s picked up, making the 1,000 target look lightyears away.

Total for this challenge is now at 237.

Not a great week with only one of three runners delivering some BP’s this week for my Thechallenge stable.
