A field of ten colts will take on the Ireland track in a one mile dirt race with fast conditions.\u00a0\u00a0 The race is a claiming event and shoppers can pick up one of these runners for the bargain price of only $5,000.\u00a0 Interestingly, many runners are doing the turf to dirt shuffle.<\/p>\n
1.\u00a0 Our Graywolf\u00a0 6\/1-<\/strong>After souring out on the turf this guy jumps back to the dirt, a place he’s only raced twice and earned a second in his maiden days.\u00a0 Drops to lowest level of career and looks for a turnaround with results.<\/p>\n 2.\u00a0 Storm Passion\u00a0 7\/1-<\/strong>Finishing in last in two most recent turf starts this guy goes back to dirt where he last ran back in March and finished second with 87 speed at $12.5k claimers.\u00a0 Dirt may be better suit for him and surface change could yield better results.<\/p>\n 3.\u00a0 German Fighter\u00a0 9\/2-<\/strong>Dropped into $3,500 claim and on turf in last and never was a factor in race.\u00a0 Back to dirt and mile distance which he won in similar conditions in early August with a 91 speed.\u00a0 Dangerous here.<\/p>\n 4.\u00a0 Over The Threshold\u00a0 12\/1-<\/strong>Off the board finishes in last four starts going a variety of distances on the dirt, primarily in low level races.\u00a0 Speeds have been mid-70 range and enhancement on these numbers are necessary to take this event.<\/p>\n 5.\u00a0 Blind Grit\u00a0 12\/1-<\/strong>Ran ultra short 4.5 furlong on good dirt surface and longer 11 furlong on poly surface on Italy track in last two starts.\u00a0\u00a0 Was not a contender in either of the races.\u00a0 Tries fast dirt surface this time and unlikely to improve.<\/p>\n 6.\u00a0 Dream Comeback\u00a0 4\/1-<\/strong>Claimed in $10k claimer race in May and took a three month rest which resulted in a claiming race win at 7.5f with best speed of 94 followed by a third in allowance with 82 speed.\u00a0\u00a0 Back to claimers and could make a comeback here.<\/p>\n 7.\u00a0 World of War\u00a0 8\/1-<\/strong> Broke maiden in first start of 2015 but this front running horse has had difficulty earning a second one.\u00a0\u00a0 Flipped over to turf sprint in last and really did not care for surface.\u00a0 Comes back to the soil and maybe he’ll respond to the change.<\/p>\n 8.\u00a0 Seigi\u00a0 4\/1- <\/strong>Ran decent fourth in more pricey $35k claimer in early May charting a strong 92 speed.\u00a0 Three weeks later he dropped to $10k claimers and speed dropped to 77 finishing well off the board.\u00a0 Gets under 2 weeks rest so form can be a concern.<\/p>\n 9.
