A small group of five will like up for the TNT SPECIAL Stakes on Saturday at the Ole\u2019 North State Track.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Will there be an explosion, I don\u2019t really see any of this field creating a loud bloom, BUT I may be wrong!!<\/o:p><\/P>

The field for the TNT SPECIAL Stakes<\/SPAN><\/B> consist of:<\/o:p><\/P>

TOMATO MAGIC(IRE)<\/B>\u2013pp1 (Galileo x Theatrical(IRE<\/SPAN><\/I>) Going back to grass after a good trip on dirt.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Her success has been on the turf, and she has collected a few stakes wins this season.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Expect this morning line favorite to sit off the early pace and look for a clearing to open up.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>This small field and the track\u2019s leading jockey should aid her attempt.<\/o:p><\/P>

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/B><\/P>

VTS WTA TURF EVENT<\/B> \u2013pp 2 (Event of the Year x <\/SPAN><\/I>Danzig<\/SPAN><\/I><\/st1:place>)<\/SPAN><\/I>)\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Has only one win in the past year, but she seems to be best suited for this distance.\u00a0 <\/SPAN><\/o:p><\/P>

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/B><\/P>

MERRY MARA- <\/B>pp 3 <\/B>( Brahms x Harlan<\/SPAN><\/I>) Four trips back, she won the Memphis Bird Stakes, and has not shown the same form since. \u00a0<\/SPAN>She pressed the early lead in that race, but has been far back in all her races since.\u00a0 <\/SPAN><\/o:p><\/P>

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/P>

JUMP KRIS<\/B> \u2013 pp 4 (Jump Start x Kris S.<\/SPAN><\/I>)\u00a0 <\/SPAN>A stalker that may be waiting for the right moment to emerge.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>She has been in only 9 races, so maybe the TNT Special will be the proper race for her to explode.<\/o:p><\/P>

THANKS ILLINI<\/B> \u2013pp 5 (Lion Heart x Gone West<\/SPAN><\/I>)\u00a0 <\/SPAN>You have to go back to her two year old races to find her in a turf sprint.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>She broke her maiden in a similiar event.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>This is not a strong field, but I question her placement in a stakes event.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Early in her career she liked to run on the lead, and with the lack of speed in this field, she may chose to break quickly and try to steal a win.<\/P>

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

I hate to say that I am not overly impressed with this field.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>The lack of out of the gate speed is obvious, so don\u2019t be surprised if someone doesn\u2019t try to grab a early lead and hang on.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>I think MERRY MARA (with Esperado onboard) will revert back to a pace setting running style, and will receive some token pressure down the back stretch.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>TOMATO MAGIC(IRE) has shown some good speed and warrants her morning line favorite role.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>JUMP KRIS may be the surprise if she can get a good trip.<\/P>
