It looks like we’ve got a great weekend in store with great crowds and red wind everywhere you go. We’ve got a nice looking bunch of young fillies so let’s take a look:

#1 SHADAR trainer – SubWinner, ( 9/1), Jockey – T.Waddle (16%), Avg Sp # (67.3)
This FANTASTICAT filly won for the first time in her last race after five trys. She ran a respectable SPF of 70 but will probably have to bump that up a bit to compete here. Trainer SubWinner has Waddle holding the reins and his experience and record will help guide this filly in her first Stakes attempt.

#2 THE FIRST RED FLEE trainer – CJT3, ( 6/1), Jockey – D.Owen (8%), Avg Sp # (N/A)
This pretty chestnut filly has impeccable breeding (NORTHERN AFLEET x RED RANSOM x FORTY NINER) and has been fairly comptetitve but seems to take a step back in her Stakes attempts. This is the kind of thing that can drive trainer CJT3 crazy trying to figure out why she gets complacent in higher company. It won’t help having Owen in the saddle who has been struggling lately.

#3 KIRBY’S KARYN trainer – Kirby88, ( 5/1), Jockey – D.Burton (13%), Avg Sp # (65.2)
This ECTON PARK offspring made a huge jump from her maiden race which she won to her second which was her first Stakes outing. She improved her SPF 12 points and just missed with a third in that race. Trainer Kirby88 is hoping for that kind of improvement again and that would be hard to beat here. Jockey Burton is quite capable so should help out in that regard.

#4 TAKEITONTHECHIN(FR) trainer – DWhisper, ( 6/1), Jockey – J.Olson (3%), Avg Sp # (74.6)
Cool name and nice looking filly here is a French bred out of lightly used freshman sire Cheneur who is amassing a nice record with his breedings. Worth taking a look at. This filly is part of that success with a Stakes victory last time out with a nice 77 SPF. Trainer DWhisper has decided to stretch her out a bit here and it looks like she can handle that. One note to watch is the struggles of jockey Olson who has been plain terrible.

#5 MENDELA(IRE) trainer – BossRoss, ( 3/1), Jockey – N.Booker (11%), Avg Sp # (N/A)
Top 100 ranked filly with two wins in four outings including a Stakes win last time out with an SPF of 71. She is going a bit further than she has but trainer BossRoss feels she can handle the extra distance. This Irish bred was made for the turf and this may be the time that she really shows what she is made of.

#6 HIP HOP GIRLIE trainer – Zeco3, ( 5/2), Jockey – R.Dunaway (14%), Avg Sp # (70.4)
This beautifully bred filly out of BARB’S MISS SAIGON tried a Graded race last time out and disappointed trainer Zeco3 with her effort. Moving to the regular Stakes circuit for now may help this filly get back on track. She loves the lead so jockey Dunaway will probably have her there by the first turn. She has already been at this distance and that will help as well.

#7 SEALED WITH A KRIS trainer – CoalTown, ( 5/2), Jockey – B.Tate (26%), Avg Sp # (72.6)
I love the name of this WAR CHANT filly and I also like the record of this girl. She likes this distance and has two wins and a second in three races including a Stakes win last time out in a small field. Trainer CoalTown has brought her along slowly and she has responded beautifully. They have the best jockey at the track in the irons and this team should be tough to beat.

Morning Line = 7-5-6-3
Yoss Tipsheet = 5-7-4-6
Paz Picks = 7-4-5-6
Like all of these juvenile races, mostly anything can happen and usually does. I am going with HIP HOP GIRLIE to just miss the board and finish fourth. MENDELA could easily win this race but I’ve got her third. It’s hard to pick against TAKEITONTHECHIN but I think that SEALED WITH A KRIS and jockey Tate will have enough to win this race.

Good luck to all runners!

Email your comments to pazjazz.btb@gmail.com.
