{"id":2983,"date":"2006-09-21T17:07:05","date_gmt":"2006-09-21T17:07:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blacktypebugler.com\/?p=2983"},"modified":"-0001-11-30T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"-0001-11-30T00:00:00","slug":"oldbtb_2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/btb.ehorseracing.com\/?p=2983","title":{"rendered":"DAHLIYEV Takes Huge Step Forward in Filly Grand Prix!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><Font color=#006400><strong>FILLY GRAND PRIX Stakes<\/strong><br \/>Grade I <br \/>One mile on Firm Turf <br \/>$500,000 <br \/>Fillies, 2 years old<\/font><\/p>\n<hr>\n<p>Young filly  <b>DAHLIYEV <\/b> took a big step forward and ran a  nearly perfect race from to show that she most definitely belongs on the graded circuit last weekend at the Grade I Filly Grand Prix.  These early races for the juveniles is meant to separate the wheat from the chaff, the cream from the milk and the good from the bad and it certainly happened here with this young lady.  Trainer Chelseydek was seen jumping for joy at the end of the race and with good reason.  <\/p>\n<p>This makes three of three for the Cryptoclearance offspring and she made the jump from an allowance win to this Grade I victory with little problem.  She had an almost identical 87 SPF to her last race and that sure ain\u2019t anything to sneeze at with these young fillies.  The sweet light grey filly out of broodmare Big Stone Lake moved her earning in her young career to over $350,000and jumped all the way up to number two in the mile turf rankings.  She looks like someone to be reckoned with in the upcoming Breeders Bowl and at this point I sure wouldn\u2019t want to bet against her. <\/p>\n<p> <b> LONGASICANCDALIGHT <\/b> jumped out to the early lead and looked to be in command coming into the final turn. She ran out of steam and finished well back as she was passed in a hurry by our winner,   <b> KEVORKIAN AVENGER <\/b> and <B>SOMETHING UNIQUE <\/b>.  The latter two finished in nearly a dead heat for second and third with Avenger squeaking by at the wire.  She had come from way back in 13th place during the race and may be even better at a longer distance. In the end, they couldn\u2019t catch <b>DAHLIYEV <\/b> as she looked to be the class of the field.<\/p>\n<p>It will be interesting to see if trainer Cheldeydek tries to run her one more time or wait for the Breeders Bowl.  There may not be enough time between these races but the layoff may be a little long if she doesn\u2019t run.
