The WARM STORY Stakes<\/B> is named after an 8 year old broodmare who never won a stakes race.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>In fact, some of the two-year-old fillies running today have nearly matched her lifetime earnings, not to mention her unfortunate offspring thus far.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Let\u2019s take a look at both the accomplished and barely tested horses in the field:<\/P>

PP 1 \u2013 LET\u2019S MAKE MONEY<\/B> (Eavesdropper x Grand Slam x Forty Niner) – 2\/1<\/I><\/P>

Trainer madmoney<\/I> got down on his knees and thanked his lucky stars when this horse won wire-to-wire in her debut.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Out of a stakes winning broodmare and a second-year sire with two stakes winning progeny already this year maybe that maiden win shouldn\u2019t have come as such a surprise.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>The furlong shorter distance looks like it should suit this filly as the pack closed in on her in the stretch last time out, however the class of her competition is much higher.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>In future races I\u2019d like to see this one try running from the back.<\/P>

PP 2 \u2013 HAPPY CHAPPY(AUS)<\/B> (King\u2019s Chapel(AUS) x In Excess(IRE) x Quest for Fame(GB)) – 6\/1<\/o:p><\/I><\/P>

Trainer nickryan<\/I> has got to be disappointed with these opening odds.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>This filly ran a big 78SP last time out at this distance and on an off-track.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>The drawback \u2013 that win was in a claiming race.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>HAPPY prefers to run from the back, I\u2019m not sure if that style will pay off with these quicker front-runners.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>However, with his odds at 6\/1 and that experience in the mud this could be a good bet.<\/P>

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/P>

PP 3 \u2013 D LION SLEEPS G<\/B> (Lion Hearted x Woodman x Theatrical(IRE)) \u2013 3\/2<\/I><\/P>

The near even favourite, trained by jgjg, has been sent out to win her third stakes race in a row.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>At 6-4-1-1 this young filly has an impressive record.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Returning to a shorter distance seems to suit and this one also has a win on an off-track.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>I won\u2019t argue with the odds makers \u2013 this one will be tough to beat on race day.<\/P>

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/P>

PP 4 \u2013 MIRACLES<\/B> (Not for Love x Boston Harbour x Meadowlake) \u2013 8\/5<\/I><\/P>

Looks like trainer desertbear<\/I> has a promising filly.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>She\u2019s run the fastest SP of the whole field and that was at this distance.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>The only crutch is that she hasn\u2019t faced an off-track, not something I would usually weigh very heavily, but in this case they\u2019ll be running in the mud.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>If she doesn\u2019t mind being splashed for the first half of the race you\u2019ll see this one racing down the stretch.<\/P>

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/P>Although this is a short field it should prove to be an exciting run \u2013 and not because it\u2019s a foursome of young girls romping in the mud!\u00a0 <\/SPAN>I\u2019m going to go with stakes and off-track experience and take 3-4-2, but this order could be easily altered by an improved race by LET\u2019S MAKE MONEY.<\/B><\/SPAN><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
