He posted a very respectable 81.9 speed figure on his way to his second straight stakes victory and his third win in a row. This race brought him to a shade over 86K in career earnings, while jumping him to a rank of 22 in the juvenile Turf Classic division. It also bolstered his dirt sprint rank slightly, leaving him at a rank of 85 in that division. Not a terrific day at the betting window, with the 3/5 favorite paying $3.40 $2.10 $2.10 across the board. Exotics were low as well, paying $9.20 for the exacta and $18.40 for the trifecta.

Power Fleet(GB) jumped out on top early, but it wasn’t without some serious challenge by Especially Yours, running neck and neck with him in the early going. Dexter’s Quest tucked just off their tails, and looked to be biding his time early. Power Fleet(GB) had managed to open up just over a length at the half. When the others started to fade, though, Power Fleet(GB) looked like he was just out for his morning work, pulling away from the field showing no signs of tiring. Young filly Topshop Princess wasn’t going to let him take this one unchallenged, and she was moving like a rocket down the stretch, but there was just too much ground to make up, and Power Fleet(GB) crossed the wire with a commanding two and a quarter length lead. Topshop Princess settled for a hard closing second, with Dexter’s Quest holding on to complete the trifecta, three and a half lengths out at the wire.

[3

post-2963","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-reviews
["GET
