There are a couple of big name stables with horses in the event and a couple of faces from the Sim world. This should make for a very exciting race. It is the time of the year when owners are taking one last hard look at their three year olds to see which ones will be around the stables the beginning of next season. Many are starting to focus on which direction they would like to take the stables next season and which sire lines will be prominent. That being said, this race could be the last stop before many of them are released into the pasture and only fondly remember as a former racer.
The make or break race is the Simply Electric Challenge a longer seven furlong sprint on the dirt. The weather forecast call for much of the same all week and that means a great early autumn afternoon. It will be a nice warm afternoon with a gentle breeze to keep things from becoming too hot. Just the ticket for this event. Eleven sophomores are entered into the race so it is time to meet them.
Fly‘s Motivator(IRE) entered by charliefly. This Irish chestnut is from one of the Fly conglomerate stables and will be trying to uphold their honor. He comes in off a couple of strong races losing out both times right at the wire. He likes to use a closing style and will attempt the same on Saturday. He is banking on his familiarity with the track to give him the advantage.
Ashlyn‘s American entered by sein2912. This sophomore returns to the states after two stakes attempts in Europe. He was dropped down a furlong last time out and he responded well. He started racing this year and has been slowly developing over the course of this year. He will try to pace the race but may have a little trouble due to slight inconsistency. He runs several good races and then seems to slack off a bit in a race. The trainer is hoping this is not one of those times.
Uncle Pauly entered by larsonisto. This lightly run sophomore comes into the race with an all or nothing attitude. He will either win the race or be way back in the field somewhere. He has one stakes race under the saddle and that was in a turf race where the result were bad but the effort was good. He has been running at a mile and was dropped into a long sprint and responded well. The trainer is going for the continued improvement in his second stakes run not at a sprint.
Lowlands Mystic entered by wonder1. This sophomore comes into the race struggling at times this year. He does have two wins on the season with his last out producing a 100 speed clocking. That came when he was dropped into a sprint after routing most of the season. The 100 speed clocking has given him an early favorite tag, but with the way he runs, there is no telling what the result will be.
Corey‘s Mission entered by rarfbeam. This sophomore comes in with eight wins for his Aussie trainer. He has been running consistently this season if not very spectacularly. He comes into the race off a two win streak, but will be hard pressed to extend that. He likes to run with the front runners and will need a good break form the gates to keep him in the hunt for another win. Having the top jockey Jesse Sands in the irons will help.
Roaringnative entered by crandy. This front running sophomore has drawn an outside gate, a place he likes to be. He has been slowly improving this year, showing he likes everything up to a mile. This long sprint could play into his hooves when he tries his second stakes run, this time on the dirt.
Knot Again entered by grouchy. This sophomore comes in as the other favorite and has drawn the hot jockey John Dawg in the irons. He had a good effort last time out but the results say differently. He comes in here hoping to erase that showing with a win here. He will need to break form the gates well if he wants to set his pace for this race. He does not respond well if he has to come from too far back in the field.
Ask An Seek(IRE) entered by larrydoyle. This Irish colt and trainer come west for the first time this year. This light grey colt has the ability to run when he wants, it is just getting him in that frame of mind. He will throw out a fine run one race and come back and be abysmal the next. He often just seems to coast during some races. With the solid and wily veteran, Vince Gannon in the irons, a very solid and strong run could be in the offering this week out.
Mr. Hardwood entered by connor. This sophomore comes in with a strong sense of anticipation surrounding him. Everyone is waiting to see if is last outing was a fluke or an indication of what is to come. He was moved to the dirt at the start of this year running in routes and only produced mediocre results. He was dropped into a sprint and clocked a 104 speed. Now he finds himself in his first stakes race with a ton of pressure riding on his withers.

[2,3,1

post-2930","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-previews","category-reviews","category-uncategorized
["GET
