Seven horses will compete in a 9.5 furlong allowance race in New York on the turf. \u00a0This race is restricted to fillies and mares that are three year olds and are non-winners of four lifetime. \u00a0Sorry boys.<\/p>\n

1. \u00a0Unbridled Profit \u00a03\/1-<\/strong>Matched career best turf speed of 82 in last with nice run finishing second in last, rallying late in the race. \u00a0This came when she dropped to claimers after a fifth at same 8.5 distance in prior race with allowance, finishing sixth. \u00a0Last start came after near 4-month rest. \u00a0Bounces back up to allowance level which could be an issue, but unlikely as almost everyone in this race is making the climb. \u00a0 This is the second start after rest could be nice improvement and extra distance should be beneficial.<\/p>\n 2. \u00a0Debbie Kahn \u00a09\/5-<\/strong>Broke maiden last month when switched over to turf against claimers. \u00a0Drew off to win by nearly three strides against \u00a0large field with strong 89 speed number that could be hard to beat here. \u00a0Was ITM in all three prior efforts on dirt and this lady could be versatile on all surfaces. \u00a0Repeat is possible.<\/p>\n 3. \u00a0Sowaki \u00a02\/1-<\/strong>Claimed in dirt event in February and moved to allowance level last month finishing fourth but making up ground late in the mile distance. \u00a0Last ran turf at very end of December and charted 81 speed finishing third, again showing some late kick. \u00a0More distance in this race is a good thing and should enhance the speed number, expect a better run.<\/p>\n 4. \u00a0Crooked Creek \u00a06\/1-<\/strong>Has raced twice on turf, both as a maiden. \u00a0Debuted in November, going 8.5f with 70 speed, finishing in rear of field. \u00a0Broke maiden on turf with claimers going 6.5f in soft field and 59 speed. \u00a0Moves up to allowance after trio of claiming races with last a winner on dirt at 9.5 furlongs. \u00a0Distance seems to suit but the turf can be a bit of a question mark and should get answered here. \u00a0Interesting entrant who could deliver a nice price.<\/p>\n 5. \u00a0Benji Granny \u00a054\/1-<\/strong>A weekly runner who has 14 starts already in 2015. \u00a0She’s being over raced and it is showing in the speed numbers. \u00a0Early year speeds in the 60’s have diminished to the 40’s. \u00a0Jumps up to allowance after competing in various claiming ranks. \u00a0Not likely to contend and risk of injury enhances with each start.<\/p>\n 6. \u00a0Rojana Inn 7\/1-<\/strong>Broke maiden in early November than took the winter off. \u00a0Raced on wet turf upon return at end of March sporting best speed number of 81 and finishing second with a late run. \u00a0Extension of distance could be the right ingredient and this lady makes second start after meaningful rest which could bake up a winner.<\/p>\n 7. \u00a0Addercot \u00a015\/1-<\/strong>\u00a0Another lady that likes to run late and has shown improvement in the speed numbers with each start. \u00a0Although the speed keeps improving with each race, the increase has been marginal. \u00a0Last outing was a 73 at 8.25 furlongs finishing fifth. \u00a0She looks like an outsider in this race but as she continues to improve, she may find the allowance level to be a good fit, but not at the current moment.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n A lot of late runners in this field with just about everyone operating this way. \u00a0However, Debbie Kahn usually likes to stalk the leader and could take the front end in this one and not look back, top pick.<\/p>\n Love the last race for Unbridled Profit and the distance added on is a bonus and second pick.<\/p>\n Rojana Inn can improve off last which was off-track, may like drier better, offers decent boost to trifecta, third pick.<\/p>\n
