Happy spring to our residency members and all breeders\/owners of MD, MA, NH, ME, CT, WV, and NJ breds.\u00a0 Megalopolis has set the schedule for the season’s races and carded the events through August (except the Dune Grass, as I ran out of credits for now).\u00a0 I’ll restock the credits and card the rest of the races in the next month or two.<\/p>\n
Some announcements:\u00a0 Megalopolis needs to be represented in smokeglack’s Sim Challenge #6, which starts this Saturday, March 21st.\u00a0 We need two 2yos to race for the residency.\u00a0 Existing residency members, please pm me as soon as possible if you would like to participate in the challenge.<\/p>\n
Secondly, I’d like to throw a little something to our valued continuing members, and also add an inducement for any new members who might join in during 2015.\u00a0 I’ll create two prize horses to be awarded after November 7th (the last residency-sponsored race for the year).\u00a0 The first will be a Not For Love 2yo to be awarded to the continuing member with the most points in residency races for the year.\u00a0 Points will be 5 for win, 3 for place, and 1 for show in the stakes races listed below (not the September 24th allowances).\u00a0 In the unlikely event that the winner is me, I’ll defer to the next-highest stable.\u00a0 The second will be a Friesan Fire 2yo to be awarded to the member who joins this year and accumulates the most points in the stakes races listed below, using the same points system.\u00a0 Note that the prize horses will be scratchbreds with damsires and dam’s damsires at least in the 100+ range, but probably not in the 400+ range.\u00a0 So get your runners ready for the Megalopolis slate.<\/p>\n
