The Grade II race with the long name, The Longstickgoboom Stakes, turned into a three horse race this weekend at Newmarket. In the end, PUPPET REGIME <\/b> took control, held off the other two and won for his 10th time in only 17 races. Trainer Wrecks2 has handled this beautiful four year old chestnut colt just right and he looks to keep getting better.<\/p>\n

The win puts him in the top ten among longer turfers and moves his earnings above $1.8 million. He is now a multiple Graded Stakes winner after winning the GI Sand Castle Golden Turf Classic earlier this year. It\u2019s his third win of the season and had a very near miss in the GI John Henry which he lost by a whisker last time out. He is hot right now and is ready to take on all challengers.<\/p>\n

PEPE’S PIPES <\/b> took the early lead and built nearly an eight length lead over the eventual winner but faded toward the end. As noted, our winner was in third but way back. At the half he put it into a gear that the others didn\u2019t have and waw chased by EMPIRE SHAKER <\/b> and SURGEON TUBES <\/b> who finished second and third. The trio ended up 10 lengths ahead of anyone else in this marathon event.<\/p>\n

I am assuming that Wrecks2 will point his prized colt toward another Grade I in his next outing and I hope to be there to bring it to you. He is a lot of fun to watch. <\/p>\n
