State where the big races are being run, we have this week’s feature, The Waxed Under Creepy Special Stakes. The race will be run on the main track at 7.5 furlongs and carry a purse of $55,000. The Morning line favorite Raider Property breaks from the outside post and goes postward at 5/2. Let’s take a look at all runner’s in today’s feature race.

1) DASHING DOOTER 6/1 28 6/1/3 outside post and never quite got himself into contention before flattening out to be a well beaten tenth. The race before that run at this distance he ran a lifetime 105Sp and scored handily at 14/1 while breaking from the 3 post. Trainer cut999 likes to give this one plenty of rest between starts and you can bet he will be fresh with the inside post adding to his chances of being a late stalking factor in this race. D.Nabinger gets the call this afternoon.

2) COOL FOR CATS 7/2 including a 116 in 2004, a 111 last year and has a 107 this year. He may be tailing off a little, but rarely throws in a bad race and has the speed to make every pole a winning one today. Oddly enough with all his big Sp’s he has only tabbed one Stakes victory to date. Trainer/Breeder colin99 has selected one of the best Jock’s in Z.Ayya with only helps his chances today. Looks well spotted to make a bid for that second Stakes.

3) BALLAST 6/1 18 part and the only start at this distance was a win on the lawn to break his maiden at a 2yo. Has shown the ability to close in a few races run at a mile and notched his first Stakes win three races back. His two races since have not been what I am sure trainer crown was hoping for and will have to run back to his win three back to be a factor today. I.Cast will get the mount today.

4) NOT FRIENDLY LOVER 13/1 28 2/5/9 $123,106

Part of a two horse entry from trainer krstable, this 4yo son of Cryptoclearance is the longshot in today’s field and is in search of his third win in his 29 career start. He has shown closing ability but has not hit the board in three chances with stakes types. His Sp’s are not that far of what it would take to grab a piece here and with his top effort could cash a small check. The Jockey choice of C.Sprague who at 2% winners this year 1/64 doesn’t build much confidence.

5) HAZEL NUT Trick colt threw in a tough effort at this distance over this strip last out. Tough to say waht went wrong in that one as he comes right back three weeks later so I guess injury was not the problem. If you thrown that race out and go back to his last, he would rate some consideration here as he closed a bit at 7 furlongs. Most of his races seem to be a few steps slower than some of these. His lifetime best 103 might not even get the job done today. B.Cooper gets the ride today.

6) EASY BALLAD a nice score picking up this then 5yo son of Saint Ballado for 40k then winning the next 5 of 7 races mostly in Starter Allowance company. In the 15 races he hace had him he has been off the board just 3 times, the bad news they were all three attempts at stakes company. His Sp’s say he belongs and he is still looking for that first Stake. Even if he doesn’t get it the trainer did a nice job dropping a tag on this one. His closing style should fit the race, just don’t tell the horse he is in a Stakes race. P.Nabinger gets injured four races back and after a layoff ran a nice race on an off track just missing at 7 panels. In his next he added a half furlong pressed the pace into the stretch and faded to sixth. His last was much of the same, pressing the pace into the stretch before giving way. With todays field he can probably count on more of the same. P.Garbaccio gets a leg up the outside post in todays feature. The 5yo son of Belong To Me is in search of his first win of the year for trainer penamacor. What a story with this horse this trainer dropped a claim on him in late 2004 for 15k and has gone on to win 6 Stakes races including a Grade 2. That is a nice claim indeed. It has been quite awhile since he has seen a distance of anything less than a mile, but in this case let’s just assume the trainer knows what is best for this one. Hard to bet against him as he seems to be the class in the race. Also gets the services of the tracks top jock in C.Orza.

To get a little value in my tri pick this week gonna box the 2/8/1 Good Luck with everyones runners
