Basking in the California sun we are here for the Sin City Handicap featuring some nice four and five year olds and one that\u2019s a bit more mature. We have six that look like they could win so it should be interesting \t\t\t\t\t

Thirteen straight races in triple digit SPFs for this four year old charcoal colored colt. He hasn\u2019t won yet this year but has done everything but win. This nicely bred Wild Again x Mr Prospector x Danzig offspring is the number 10 ranked dirt sprinter and trainer Lenny8 has really brought him along nicely. He had a huge streak last year of four in a row including a couple of Graded races. He has Staples up in the irons and he has been as hot as anyone at the track this year. <\/p>\n

60% wins for this Danehill offspring as a lightly raced five year old with only 10 outings. He has run equally well on grass or dirt and at different distances but seems to look the best on these short dirt runs. Trainer IvanYamil has lots of options with this horse and will probably be visiting the winners circle for years to come. He has more than capable jockey Steed holding the reins and will probably keep him just behind the leaders until the stretch. Has a chance here.<\/p>\n

Well bred Storm Cat five year old horse is nearing half a million in earnings and knows how to win with two of four this year including a Graded race and 11 races in a real nice career. The big brown horse has run 11 straight triple figure SPFs on dirt and doesn\u2019t appear to be slowing down at all. Trainer Supreme has scheduled his colt well and he has a heart that just won\u2019t stop. Jockey Simcox has improved in this his second year and is one of the hot jockeys at the track.<\/p>\n

This four year old Moon Ballad colt ran his very first Stakes race last time out and was just beat at the wire. Trainer Brabant was impressed enough with his prized colt to up the ante a bit and move him up to this Graded company. He loves the lead and likely will take that position soon after the bell. It will be a little tougher holding that lead against this crew but the colt has been running well this year as has jockey Allen who is winning at a 13% clip.<\/p>\n

It is not often that you see a 99 to 1 shot in a Graded race and this one has two. The four year old Freespool colt has never run faster than an 87 SPF and that will not come close to contending here by probably 20 points. Trainer JDawg04 now has a Graded Place colt but I would\u2019t make reservations in the winners circle here.<\/p>\n

Our second 99 to 1 shot is this Irish bred seven year old horse by Kadeed. He is running in his 72nd race and hasn\u2019t really run triple digit figures since back in \u201902 which is just a distant memory to this grand old guy. He has five wins in thost 71 races but I don\u2019t really expect another one here.<\/p>\n

Our only three year old in the race is this Pleasantly Perfect offspring that has won five of only fourteen races but hasn\u2019t been in quite this company yet. He has run strictly three year old races prior to this and has fared well but will be up against more developed and experienced horses here. You have to start somewhere and trainer IrishCrown has put a nice jockey in the saddle in Jones and would love to surprise a few folks here by hitting the board.<\/p>\n

This four year old by Spinning World looked like he got it back on track last race with a nice Stakes win and a 104 SPF. He had kind of floundered around since the Equinics and trainer Rascal was more than glad to see him get that win last time out. He likes to stalk the leaders and may have a problem as there aren\u2019t a lot of speed horses in this race. He certainly has a chance though but will have to at least duplicate the effort from last race. <\/p>\n

Extremely consistent colt with 12 of 13 races in the money and four of those are wins. He has only run two Stakes races but has performed admirably with a 2nd and a 3rd in a Graded race. Trainer DawgPound has high hopes that this Sakhee out of Crystal Cave colt is a late bloomer and is just getting started on a nice Stakes career. He will have to work with Fraser in the saddle who has been as cold as ice this year. It may be tough to hit that board but this horse has a heart that won\u2019t let you keep him off the to three.<\/p>\n

This five year old Johannesburg horse seems to have started to slow down a bit after 33 races but still throws a 100 plus SPF out every once in a while. This will be his first Stakes race in three straight and he ran a particularly rough race last time out. Trainer Miguel 91 feels that he is ready to bounce back here though and we will see this weekend.<\/p>\n

This four year old son of More Than Ready is still looking for that elusive first Stakes win in this his sixth try. He had a string of triple digit speeds going the end of last year and a win in the first race of this year but has fallen back a bit from that in the past four. Trainer WarEmblem2 would like to see that century mark again and knows that they need that to contend here. <\/p>\n

I like BRABAMOON <\/b> to finish fourth. SOY DE PONCE <\/b> will stalk the leaders but will have to settle for third and KAMPFEN II K’S <\/b> is awful tough but will only hold on for second by a neck. The horse that is ready to make a real statement this week is FINAL THOUGHTS <\/b>. My Final Thoughts are that no one is going to beat this horse today!<\/p>\n
