At the halfway point she made her move, and took the lead, but Explosive Storm was coming on strongly from the back of the pack and overtook her just before the wire. It was the first graded victory for the 5yo Danzig mare, who is on a hot streak and has now won two stakes in a row. The final speed figure for the top two finishers was a 107.
