Half the field have a realistic chance of taking the prize.

NEON SWAN This three yeat old has won two from seven and although he hasn’t won anything better than an allowance, his latest run in the Grade II Tette Mile in which he finished second reads well in this event. A good spedd figure of 104 also looks impresive. He looks overoriced at 20/1, assuming he can keep up that level. Place claims.

CLASSIC STOUTE His best recent run was finishing 12 lengths back in eleventh place in a stakes race. Way out of his depth- wooden spoon guaranteed.

CHICAGO BOUND The favourite following a string a good consistant grade III and stakes races but he hasn’t actually won for some time. Most of his recent runs suggest he may want 6-6.f5f as he’s been getting in front or very near in the third quarter of his mile races and fading a bit in the last quarter. Wil get to the front but I don’t think he’ll be there at the line. Nailed on for a place.

TOP BLOKE A bit of a veteran now and it’s been some time since his alst good stakes run never mind a grade II.
Seemsa past his best and can no longer compete at this level- competing for the wooden spoon.

FUSAICHI MAGPIE This four year old has won six from ten and ran a 112 over 6.5f latest in astakes race. Has run good races at this distance but the 6.5-7f looks his optimum trip. With the step up in class, another who can make the frame but I don’t think he’ll be winning.

E STREET BAND This looks his distance with a rapidly closing third over 7f latest ina stakes. Has run at this level before and must be a threat, but I think he may find one or two too good here. Expect a better speed fugure but looks to be running for fourth. Will fuinish just outside the money.

M. RADKE This three year old has run his last three races in Grade I’s and has come close each time. This looks his distance being by Danzig with a bit of speed in the pedigree too and with the drop in grade he looks to take a lot of beating. The likely winner.

DREAM ACADEMY Has looked out of his depth in all but one of his recent stakes runs and the step up in grade is a massive negative. Looks like an allowance horse and is another with wooden spoon claims.

SEEKING RANSOM Ultra consistant at this distance in allowanc eraces and ran a very good second on his step up to stakes level latest but that was with a closing run over 8.5f and the mike may not be far enough now- especially with another step up in class. Will finish mid pack with a good closing run.

THREE MAN COLT Another who keeps getting caught late on over this diostance and is crying out for a run at 7f. Will lead until the last furlong and a half and fade to finish mid-pack.

VERDICT- 1/ M.
