Because ”MEATY” didn’t win this time, that means the next race will be an allowance for NW2y and keep our leader out. That’s what makes this series so much fun. There are lots of folks dreaming of catching EMINENT MINSTREL while we are waiting for the next race in the series in four weeks.

Like the last race BROTHER HOT started off this race like they just opened the doors at the Nursing home buffet and he wanted to get to the roast beef first. His lead wasn’t as great as last time though and in the end it appeared that his Geritol induced energy ran out at the end.. At the half way point, there were 11 horses within six lengths of the lead. It looked to be anyone’s race. The two horses that finished first and second though were EMINENT MINSTREL and RASPUTIN who were way back at the end of the Bingo Hall. They both flew through the crowd picking them off one by one. The last horse they went by was WALLY’S COUNT who held on for third. There were still plenty of horses bunched up so the future of the series looks exciting as long as some of them don’t decide to retire and collect their Social Security.

Our host MEAT LOAF LOOP as had been partially expected, kind of took the week off and sat back in the rocking chair and watched the race from 9th place. That is to be deserved after last races win. EMINENT MINSTREL now leads the series with 12 points. He is followed by MEAT LOAF LOOP with 6 and GREEK JUDGE , RASPUTIN , and BROTHER HOT with three points. AUSTRALIA MAT , WALLY’S COUNT and A.CONTENDER all have one point. It is a ten race series and lots of things can happen including quite a few heart attacks and strokes among the participants, so it should be interesting down the road.

EMINENT MINSTREL showed what he is made of once again. Will he get another chance to get back into the series and collect points? Will his twelve points be enough to stay in the lead? Stay tuned! Best of luck to all of these fine old guys and gals!

Email your comments to pazjazz.btb@gmail.com.
