Therefore I think you have to be carefull when assessing these races. If you’ve got a horse who can win good races at this distance keep them at it!!

MUADIB (WAR CHANT x THEATRICAL(IRE) x FORTY NINER) has been coming up short at srpint distances but put up a really good run at 7f in a Grade III latest. Will be coming late from off the pace and merits serious respect. Look for a top two finish and may even get the win.

JB MORNIN’ Y’ALL (ALJABR x MORNING BOB x EXCLUSIVE NATIVE) has been running over 6f and does not look like the step up will improve on his decent recent efforts. In fact may want to be droped to 5-5.5f now. Decent stakes horse but I think the trip will find him out.

AVIE VIGODA (JAVA GOLD x LORD AVIE x BUCKFINDER) Had been running in sprints but has won his last two at this trip, an allowance and a stakes race. Sits just off the pace and must rate a big danger.Looks to have found his trip and should stay here.

SCHATTENFLUCHT(IRE) (KALANISI (IRE) x GONE WEST x LYPHARD) There is quite a lot of stamina in that pedigree, and his last few races have seen him come up short at 7-7.5f. Has done most of his winning over routes and surely must be looking for 9-10f. Dangerous but i think this trip is too short.

AMERICAN QUEST (CORONADO’S QUEST x DISTORTED HUMOR x QUIET AMERICAN) Has been running over 9-10f but looks to want shorter. This could be his ideal trip although the style of a couple of his 9f victories suggests he may want 11-12f . Hard to assess this one- definetly worth a try at this trip and is the dark horse of the race.

ANGEL WINGS (SUMMER SQUALL x RUBIANO x STORM CAT) Won an allowance over 6.5f latest but has struggled in stakes company and has generally looked to want further than this. Not today.

JEF CITY DESERT (CARSON CITY x GREEN DESERT x STORM CAT) Has won a stakes at this trip but has been generally disapointing. Mixes a couple of good runs with a couple of bad. At this level he might want more of a sprint, so although dangerous on a going day, he is overlooked today for me.

SOMET SMELLS (ALANNAN x MOULIN(GB) x CITIDANCER(IRE)) The least exposed in the race after only seven runs and the worthy outsider. Has shown some promise but may want further to be fully effective.

This race might come down to wether or not AVIE VIGODA can get his run in before MUADIB really starts to close. I’ll take the latter to win by less thana length, with AMERICAN QUEST in third.

[2

post-2242","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-previews
["GET
