The Featured race this past Saturday which was billed as the third go around between SPARE T(IRE)<\/STRONG>\u00a0 and MICHELANGELO(IRE) <\/STRONG>certainly<\/STRONG>\u00a0 didn’t disapoint,\u00a0 Only Five Horses took to the track for the headline event The ADDUL EN LA FUTURE STAKES <\/STRONG>going a mile on a firm turf course.\u00a0 It was a nice spring day which brought the crowds outside to see the horses enter the gates in front of the start finish line.\u00a0 When the gates opened HUDDIE <\/STRONG>took to the lead right from the start and opened up a daylight lead as the rest of the field settled into position,\u00a0 SILVERWELLS <\/STRONG>who broke from the rail was content to save ground and let the front runner go it\u00a0alone, with the rest of the five horse field just trying to stay out of trouble.\u00a0 As they entered the far turn HUDDIE<\/STRONG> who had opened up almost a 5 length advantage was showing signs of starting to labor and the real running was just getting under way.\u00a0 MICHELANGELO(IRE) <\/STRONG>who was never more than a length in front of the favorite SPARE<\/STRONG> T(IRE) <\/STRONG>started to make a big run on the leader but was being matched stride for stride\u00a0by SPARE T (IRE)<\/STRONG> and by the time they had collared HUDDIE<\/STRONG> at the top of the lane it had become a two Horse race with SPARE T (IRE)<\/STRONG> inching away with every step to prevail by a length in a very exciting finish.\u00a0 MICHELANGELO(IRE) <\/STRONG>was clearly second best beating SILVERWELLS<\/STRONG> for the show position by nearly 6 lengths.
