Numerous (4499)<\/FONT><\/H1>\u00a0<\/o:p><\/P>I decided to cover this sire after looking through the freshman sires of 2006 here in the sim. He has a couple sons that will begin their own stud career this year Kela, and Mr. Light (ARG). As you look through his real life production it is pretty impressive. This son of Mr. Prospector is very affordable in the sim and may be one of the more under rated sires right now in the sim. <\/o:p><\/B><\/P>\u00a0<\/o:p><\/P>Real Life- <\/B>Numerous is by Mr. Prospector. His dam sire is Nijinsky II and the dam\u2019s dam sire is <\/SPAN>Forli<\/SPAN><\/st1:place><\/st1:City>. Numerous has a very nice pedigree all around, with a 2.38 dosage index. He probably has more speed than stamina but I do not see why he cannot produce that ten furlong dirt runner. On the track Numerous was a grade III winner. He did very well at the one mile distance and was a pretty fast runner over all. His overall record did not really live up to his breeding. <\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>\u00a0<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>At stud Numerous has produced ten champions in five countries. He has produced thirty-nine stakes winners to date. In 2005 he did produce a grade I winner and a couple of grade III winners including Mr. Light (ARG) who set the world record for one mile on the turf. Kela was a grade I winning sprinted and ran second in the Breeder\u2019s Cup sprint. Miss Terrible earned champion two year old and three year old honors in <\/SPAN>Argentina<\/SPAN><\/st1:place><\/st1:country-region> and is a two time grade III winner in the <\/SPAN>US<\/SPAN><\/st1:place><\/st1:country-region> already. <\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>\u00a0<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>Most of his success has come from his time as a sire in <\/SPAN>Argentina<\/SPAN><\/st1:place><\/st1:country-region> but those runners are coming to the states and winning along with him producing well now that he is standing in the states. He has a great versatility to produce turf or dirt runners. Most of his runners excel as sprinters or milers but there is no reason to think those are his limits. <\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>\u00a0<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>Fitzcarraldo (ARG) line mares produced well in real life and that is the same sire that had Seattle Fitz running pretty well in the states a couple of years ago. Theatrical (IRE) mares have produced well with Numerous including Numerous Times the grade I Atto Mile winner and 2001 Canadian Turf Horse. Kela was from a Sovereign Dancer mare was also inbred to Northern Dancer. Mr. Light was inbred to <\/SPAN>Nashua<\/SPAN><\/st1:place><\/st1:City> and is a full brother to grade I winner Miss Lauren. <\/SPAN><\/o:p><\/P>\u00a0<\/o:p><\/P>Sim Life<\/B> \u2013 Numerous has one hundred and two sim runners. He has two graded winners and four stakes winners over all. Of course his graded runners are older, one inbred to Mr. Prospector the other inbred to Northern Dancer. In his other two stakes winners the dam sires were Halo and Baby Slew inbred to Raise a Native. So four stakes winners four different dam sire lines. <\/P>
\u00a0<\/o:p><\/P>His graded winner Coastal Mining recently won a listed stakes at 9.5f on the dirt. He was a 2004 Equinics winner at 10f and ran fourth that year in the Breeder\u2019s Bowl Classic. Numerous II is his other graded stakes winner and she won a grade III recently at 9f on the turf. Some of his best runners have been good route runners. <\/P>
\u00a0<\/o:p><\/P>There are two unraced well bred five year old mares in his progeny. Neither of the stables look to have been active for some time but these mares might be pretty solid to own. #86274 and #31917. He has been paired with some of the best dam sires in the sim including Storm Cat, A.P. Indy, Sadler\u2019s Wells, Secretariat, and Seattle Slew. His runners run on both surfaces at a variety of distances just the kind of versatility you like to see from a sire. <\/P>
\u00a0<\/o:p><\/P>Breeding Suggestions<\/B> \u2013 \u00a0<\/SPAN>You have to like Northern Dancer inbreeding and Nashua<\/st1:place><\/st1:City> inbreeding especially since it has worked in real life and to a certain extent in the Sim as well. For Northern Dancer inbreeding I like using grandsons of Northern Dancer in the dam sire slot. Storm Cat has been used three times already one a stakes winner, one an allowance winner and one not so good. Theatrical has not been used yet and probably should get some consideration. Going this route there are some really good dam sires to consider like Deputy Minster, Summer Squall, Stravinsky, Green<\/st1:PlaceName> Desert<\/st1:PlaceType><\/st1:place>, El Prado, War Chant, and Louis Quatorze.<\/P>\u00a0<\/o:p><\/P>Nashua<\/st1:place><\/st1:City> inbreeding is a little tougher since he does not have a whole lot of grandsons. Mocito Guapo (ARG) has not been used a whole lot in the sim but since his price stays relatively high considering how little he gets used probably indicates some talent. His three year olds completely suck but his older runners are not bad. Forlitano (ARG) is a bargain sire that has only been used one time as a dam sire the only reason I mention him is because that one time he was used with Numerous and while that runner was not a winner she was running some very solid speed figures. <\/P>\u00a0<\/o:p><\/P>The Turn-To lines of sires provide an abundance of possibilities. Numerous would seem to go well with the southern Hemisphere sires like Octagonal, and Zabeel. I like Halo and Roberto as well as their many sons and grandsons. Red Ransom, Lear Fan, Kris S., Sunday Silence, Devil\u2019s Bag, or Saint Ballado to name a few. <\/P>
\u00a0<\/o:p><\/P>\u00a0<\/SPAN>Blushing Groom (FR), Damascus<\/st1:place><\/st1:City>, Buckpasser, and Seattle Slew will all blend well with Numerous. Blushing Groom (FR) has several sons that fit well like Blushing John, Candy Stripes, Mt.<\/st1:PlaceType> Livermore<\/st1:PlaceName><\/st1:place>, Nashwan, Rahy and Rainbow Quest. Damascus<\/st1:place><\/st1:City> has been used a couple of times and with success with Numerous. Accipiter, Cutlass, Desert Wine, Ogygian, and Private Account. <\/P>\u00a0<\/o:p><\/P>Buckpasser is always lovely mixing so well with Mr. Prospector and Northern Dancer line sires. I might try to use him in the dam\u2019s dam sire slot but nothing wrong with using his sons or grandsons in the dam sire slot. Buckaroo, Buckfinder, L\u2019enjoleur, Norcliffe, Silver Buck, Montbrook or Spend a Buck. <\/P>
\u00a0<\/o:p><\/P>Numerous (4499) X Halo (2663) X Damascus<\/st1:place><\/st1:City> (1457) <\/P>\u00a0<\/o:p><\/P>Numerous (4499) X Theatrical (IRE) (6563) X Blushing Groom (FR) (669)<\/P>
\u00a0<\/o:p><\/P>Numerous (4499) X Silver Buck (5835) X Cutlass (1430)<\/P>
\u00a0<\/o:p><\/P>Bargain Bred<\/B> \u2013 \u00a0<\/SPAN>Numerous currently gets into the sixties at the end of the week. I think getting better bargain bred runners from sires like this that cost more than fifty points can be tougher than the cheap sires. None the less there is a dam sire or two worth experimenting with. <\/P>\u00a0<\/o:p><\/P>Numerous (4499) X Forlitano (ARG) (11307) X Crystal<\/st1:place><\/st1:City> Glitters (1416)<\/P>\u00a0<\/o:p><\/P>What to Expect<\/B> \u2013 Numerous has an interesting array of runners. For the most part I think his runners will do pretty well as two year olds and probably do much better at three and four. His real life runners have all seemed to do very well as older runners and his sim runners have not been all that different. His runners can run well on both surfaces so be sure to try them both and they run long or short. He is almost the poster sire for versatility. <\/P>
