It is quite inspiring to have players like Kimugle still around, reminding us of the joy of\u00a0the path instead of the pleasure of glory. Through them, we are reminded of the\u00a0purpose of the exercise at hand: the enjoyment of the experience rather than the frustration of our dreams.\u00a0They are, therefore, the champions that go unrecognized.<\/p>\n
I just had to talk to him and see if I could catch a glimpse of the goals that move him,\u00a0and was quite amazed, that they were in the fun of the game all by itself. To him, the goal\u00a0had already been reached.<\/p>\n
I’m almost embarrassed by virtue of his simple wisdom.<\/p>\n

KIM: I started playing derby fever in April 2013, and loved the game from the first look.\u00a0I knew nothing about horse racing when I started playing. I have 136 stables now, and\u00a0I have so many stables because I want horses running every day. It’s pretty easy\u00a0managing the stables, I have a very good memory and most of my horses are just point\u00a0getters, so I just enter them when they are ready.\u00a0I have not accomplished a lot yet, I have only won 1 stakes race with Mining Bitcoin.\u00a0Mining Bitcoin is probably my best horse, but I have a few 2 y.o’s that look like they\u00a0can do ever better in the future.\u00a0My goal for the future is to have fun in the game, I have no special races that I want to\u00a0win. Another goal for me is to breed some good horses and improve my stables. Maybe\u00a0I’m not the normal derby fever player, but I think the game is the best I have ever\u00a0played. What makes it special for me it the people I have met in here. They are so\u00a0helpful and friendly.<\/strong><\/p>\n bb: What do you find special with this game when compared to others on the Internet?<\/em><\/p>\n KIM: The special thing about this game is that you are able to play it on many levels.\u00a0And for me, even though I knew nothing about horse racing it was like getting my own\u00a0horses. Setting up a race stable is also fun. At first my big thrill was placing horses\u00a0into races, now I think breeding is the best thing in the game. The thing that makes it\u00a0way better than other games I have played on the Internet is the group of people in\u00a0the game. I remember the first time I entered the sim chat, I thought what will the \u00a0others think, regarding a guy who knows nothing about horse racing, but I was\u00a0welcome with open arms and every one wanted to help me. I can not say how\u00a0grateful I am for all the people who have helped me and still are helping me, thanks a\u00a0million!<\/strong><\/p>\n So there it is folks, no deep philosophy, no stress, no bitter frustrations. Given our day\u00a0and age, it’s almost surreal, and his no-holds-barred approach to the relentless\u00a0chipping of the sculpture has been noticed by the ‘top dogs’ of our URC fraternity,\u00a0such as vice chairman of the chair Tops, who had this to say about our beloved\u00a0Kimugle:<\/p>\n TOPS: Kim has been a huge asset not only to URC, but to the sim. As eager as he has\u00a0<\/strong>been to learn the ropes, he has been just as eager if not more, to teach others the\u00a0<\/strong>things he is learning. He is that rare breed of new player that is willing to ask\u00a0<\/strong>questions and just as willing to give his advice. He has only been in the sim for a short\u00a0<\/strong>time, but ultimately is a guy I’m proud to call my friend already, both in and outside the\u00a0<\/strong>sim. He has just started to get his feet wet in terms of potential. You can see some of\u00a0<\/strong>that this year when you compare his breeding stock to last year and you can see the\u00a0<\/strong>amount of improvement he has made. That patience will be paying off for him shortly.\u00a0<\/strong>He runs a huge operation and does so very efficiently. He’s already exhibiting\u00a0<\/strong>qualities such as patience with his horses that many veterans lack and you can tell\u00a0<\/strong>once he gets his feet under him (that comes with starting out), he will be a wonderful\u00a0<\/strong>player in this sim.
