We could possibly watch nine or ten of these youngsters within an eyelash of the lead coming down the stretch. It may be tough on the trainers but it should be a great race to watch. With $364K in earnings and continual improvement, TESTING sure looks like the horse to beat. He only has one race at this distance but won the race although it wasn\u2019t his best time to date. That is the biggest hope that his competitors have as he is in the capable control of jockey Reed and trainer PG51. The \u201ctesting\u201d may be over. <\/p>\n

(GONE WEST x LEAR FAN x DANZIG) This lightly raced colt has a huge race in the Equinics but finished an inspiring second on an off track with a phenomenal 97 SPF. His other four turf races were all wins and the only thing that trainer BeamNReasn has to figure out is if he likes a bit more distance than this mile. His last race with the rocket burst was at 9.5f and you have to wonder if he likes that better. It should be some horse race with OLLIE and TESTING side by side in the gate. Jockey Kentucky should love this mount.<\/p>\n

He\u2019s won on dirt and grass, sprints and a mile plus but has thrown poor races in just as well. No wonder he has six wins and places in his ten races and four where he missed the board altogether. Which one will show up on Saturday?<\/p>\n

(RED RANSOM x SADLER’S WELLS x GULCH) Nearing half a million dollars in earnings, this colt has run nearly three times as many races as some in this field. He ran two at 9f and one on dirt that were unqualified disasters and every other race he has been very successful. He could be a choice with better odds that could win you some money in this race. Dirks is in the irons and knows how to handle these young bucks. Don\u2019t be surprised if they are in the mix at the wire.<\/p>\n

(UNBRIDLED’S SONG x GREEN DESERT x RIVERMAN) After an uninspiring dirt start, this colt with the musical sounding name switched to the grass last time out and looks like he was made for it. He won the LITTLE NIJINSKY stakes with a nice 91 SPF and Simsters8 has to kicking himself and wondering why he didn\u2019t start this colt on the grass. That is the crazy way these ponies work sometimes. Now we have to watch and see if that race was an aberration or the beginning of a super turf career. I\u2019m betting on the latter.<\/p>\n

For the past four races, this colt has run uninspired races with consistently mediocre results. There doesn\u2019t seem to be anything physically wrong after extensive testing but he just isn\u2019t getting it done. Perhaps this is the race where it all turns around.<\/p>\n

(BEST OF THE BESTS (IRE) x GIANT’S CAUSEWAY (IRE) x LAST TYCOON(IRE)) Here is another hard to comprehend colt. He had three stakes wins last year and has stumbled around with two consecutive 11th place finishes and hasn\u2019t run faster than an 81 SPF all year. That is not going to get it done on the Stakes circuit and Trainer Gaell is beside himself trying to figure it out. It won\u2019t help having Nickesy in the saddle as he\u2019s been struggling this year as well. A lot to get done in a hurry with lots of tough comptetion doesn\u2019t bode well for this race.<\/p>\n

(WILD RUSH x NUREYEV x SILENT SCREEN) METAL RUSH is looking for a breakout race as he has been running well but just hasn\u2019t put it all together in one race. Trainer Sanatarium has an incredible win percentage this year as does his jockey Moxley so it could certainly happen here. He will probably be the early speed here if he breaks well and can get to the rail. He needs to keep it together in the stretch to bring it home. <\/p>\n

You are looking at the colt that won the Breeders Bowl and came in second in the GI GSR Diamond. Throw out the last two races that were on an off track and dirt and you have a real threat to this field. McCormick is capable in the sadlle and trainer Rharfo7 knows how to get the most out of his horses. It might be time for this colt to do a little IMPROVING.<\/p>\n

(KING CUGAT x POLISH NUMBERS x WOODMAN) The tale of this race is that here you have a colt with some of the longest odds in the race and he is on a two race win streak and threw a 93 SPF last time out which is one of the fastest in this group. Lots of competition and no clear cut winner. Check out trainer Seveii\u2019s nealy 38 win percentage and you know that this colt will be ready to battle. If jockey Tippett can squeeze another mid 90s speed out of this colt, it will be very interesting at the end.<\/p>\n

His last four races last year were all GIs with pretty good results. It just remains to be seen if he can stretch it out to mile and hold it. Russell is well respected with his 10 years in the saddle and may be able to show this horse what to do.<\/p>\n

DVKTA1 is giving it his best shot but you never know whether the good colt or the bad colt is going to show up. It won\u2019t help having the outside post as he generally likes to stay near the lead. Of course there is nothing consistent about this colt so who really knows.<\/p>\n

Throw them all in a hat and see who shakes out. I don\u2019t think I\u2019ve ever felt this way this strongly about a race. I can\u2019t wait to watch this one<\/p>\n
