Well what a race we have with some of the top up and comming milers such as PEYRESURDE, TETE GALACTIC(IRE), HIGH OTTO, TUFF ENUFF and VAE VICTIS all trying to move up the rankings not to mention $250,000 prize money on offer so lets take a look at the form guide and see if we can pick you a winner.
PP1
COOL FOR CATS Current Owner: colin99 STORM CAT x MR. PROSPECTOR x COMMON GROUNDS(GB) 8\/1
Very short price for this son of storm cat who has only ever won at stake level once. Last start was a nice win over 7.5 furlongs with a 107 rating before that was a 7th and a win also at allowence level. He is a speed horse who will fight for the lead but I just think there are oters better here, Place only.
PP2
HIGH OTTO
Game Dam : BITER DEELITE Current Owner: venezolano HIGH YIELD x\tCOASTAL x AIR FORBES WON 6\/1
winner of The Delaware Mile-G1 at odds of 20\/1 as a 3yo this 4 time winner of stake and graded race has been in great form so far this season running speed ratings of 107 and 105 in his last 2 races both over 8.5 furlongs for a win and a 2nd. 8 furlongs will be a test for him as he runs most of his races at 8.5 f or more so I will be interested to see if he has the speed to keep up. Include in your trifectas.
PP3
MIRACLE TO ME Current Owner: soulbleed DEPUTY MINISTER x ALYDAR x SECRETARIAT 13\/1
Up and comming horse trying to take the next step, he is stakes placed but I feeel he should be looking for an easier race at stake level before taking these on.I think we will see him fly late, but not for me.
PP4
FORTY SCOOBS Current Owner: theogbarn FORTY NINER x SADLER’S WELLS x SECRETARIAT 10\/1
Young stable chasing some victroys with this lightly raced galloper, who has been racing very consistant at stake level. He has been mixing up his surfaces of late running turf then dirt turf the dirt and is finishing in the bp positions. However this race is probley a bit much maybe a trifecta horse.
PP5
TETE GALACTIC(IRE) Current Owner: kartago GALILEO (IRE) x BLUSHING GROOM(FR) x CAERLEON 5\/1
Winner of the Prims Memorial-G2 as a 3yo TETE GALACTIC’S only run so far this season was gallant 7th in the EARLE SANDE G1 over 8f with a great speed rating of 105 before that he failed over 8.5f. 3 starts back he had a great run in the Colonel Prospector Emerald Stakes-G1 only getting caught in the shadows of the post. At 8 furlongs (his limit) I think he has a great chance. His is the speed horse in this race.
PP6
CRASS BALL Current Owner: drturf A.P. INDY x BO JINSKY x VICE REGENT 6\/1
Very consistant performer who’s form looks to be starting to taper off. Even though he finished 2nd last start he only managed a 96 sp over 9 furlongs and before that he could only managed 9th in The SILVER BLOOD Cap-Stk, his form before that was pretty good but I would like to see him come back to form before I pick him.
PP7
PEYRESURDE
Game Dam : IBARDIN NC Current Owner: sansebas SADLER’S WELLS x BROAD BRUSH x FORTY NINER 14\/1
Former winner of the Fedirico Stakes-G2 as a 3yo the son of Saddler’s wells has been racing well of late with a nice 3rd in the Maxxed Platinum Plate Cap-G3 with an sp of 103, however last start he come up against some of the best horses in the sim and found the 10f of the EDDIE AREARO and the class just a bit to much for him. Drop in class and distance make him a good outside chance.
PP8
TUFF ENUFF
Game Dam : BRIDGET JONES Current Owner: ladysiera1 CHESTER HOUSE x OCTAGONAL(NZ) x ACADEMY AWARD 8\/1
4 time grade 1 winner (including Breeders Bowl Classic-G1) who has won over $5,000,000 in prize money has not quite been in the same form of late but showed signs of improvment with a speed rating of 105 last start it the Head Honcho stakes over a mile . If he were in form he would beat this field with a stick but I will stick my neck out and say he won’t win but he will be in my trifecta. Congrats go to ladysiera1 for her 100th win.
PP9
BLACK CIELO Current Owner: gene BLACK MINNALOUSHE x CONQUISTADOR CIELO x NEVER BEND 10\/1
4 time stake or graded winner stormed back into form with an allowence win and a speed rating of 103 over 8 furlongs. Before that he was strugling with and 11th and 13th also over 8 furlongs. He will sit next to the leader and must settle within a length of the leader to have a chance. Not for me.
PP10
WAY COOL JR. Current Owner: sdmforlife FORTY NINER x PEINTRE CELEBRE (IRE) x STORM BIRD 16\/1
stable mate to top distance performer ONE BOLD RUSH this son of FORTY NINER has been trying to progress but has not been able to crack it for a stakes level victory which make me think this will be way to hard. It will be interesting to see if he will race on the speed or settle back in the field like he did last start. Wait for improvement.
PP11
PERFECT MOTION(IRE)
Game Dam : ALICE’S CAR(FR) Current Owner: lizbizkit THEATRICAL(IRE) x IRISH RIVER(FR) x CARSON CITY 18\/1
Horse claimed forjust 20k as a 3yo was a flop last start at odds of 1\/10 over 13 furlongs, before that he ran a nice 4th in the Diplomat Way Handicap-G1 with a rating of 105. The drop back in distance will be a good thing but I’m going to only put him in my trifectas as I think the last run may have taken a bit out of him. Place only.
PP12
SAKI COCKTAIL
Game Dam : HOPOATE(AUS) Current Owner: shoalsdock SAKHEE x REDOUTE’S CHOICE (AUS) x NORTHERN DANCER 24\/1
has a stake victory under the belt but that was a while ago now and so far this season he has not been racing his best. I think maybe a change in tactics by trying to lead on him may be a good move but this field is just way to strong. Maybe a race at allowence level might bring his form back.
PP13
LEVEN SEVENTY WON Current Owner: skids DANEHILL x GULCH x CAERLEON 9\/1
very interesting runner, a former top horse on turf and grade 1 winner has just been swiched to dirt in a bid to try and get his form back. Last start in his first race on dirt for a year and a half he had an easy victory at allowence level where he came from the back of the field to storm home to win by a length, and although the speed was slow he didn’t make the pace. He could cause a suprise.
PP14
VAE VICTIS Current Owner: waremblem5 TABASCO CAT x GREEN DANCER x RIVA RIDGE 13\/1
best run ever last start for a 2nd in the 8.5 furlong Whirlaway Cap-G3 with a speed rating of 112. He is a 2 time stake winner who has a fantastic recored on dirt and if he can live up to his last start he will win. with a good speed up front I expect him to sit just behind the leaders. He has a great chance. <\/p>\n
Ok so after all of that I’m going for an upset and taking VAE VICTIS to cause a suprise upset and beat the well fancied TETE GALACTIC(IRE) and I would throw in most of the field it my trifecta because this race is hard to pick Sugested bet Trifecta 5,14-5,8,13,14-1,2,4,5,8,11,13,14 If anybody has some feedback, thoughts on the race or even a tip can you please leave me message in the BTB forum.
