Challenge by four and three quarters lengths. He won this same race last year by nearly six, and he was within four tenths of a second of that time in this one. This was his fifteenth career in forty five starts, and it pushed his career earnings up over the one million dollar mark. It solidified his Long Turf ranking of number nine, creeping him closer to that number eight spot. He paid $7.20 to win and he contributed to a $22.90 exacta and a $116.20 trifecta.

This race belonged to the early speed, and the closers just never seemed to fire in this one. The break was tight, with Revelation II, Dal House and Cahill’s Gold all jockeying for position. This speed battle lasted well into the second half of the race, with only a length separating these three at most during nearly to the third call. Revelation II made his move in the second half, and was able to open up a small cushion, but his competition wasn’t going to make it easy for him, hanging tough into the stretch. The Stretch belonged to him though, and he put some distance on the challengers, winning it by four and three quarters. Dal House showed a lot of heart keeping it close and grabbed the second place honors, with Cahill’s Gold holding on for third, nine lengths out at the wire.

[3

post-1862","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-reviews
["GET
