{"id":1755,"date":"2006-02-20T13:41:10","date_gmt":"2006-02-20T13:41:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blacktypebugler.com\/?p=1755"},"modified":"-0001-11-30T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"-0001-11-30T00:00:00","slug":"oldbtb_2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/btb.ehorseracing.com\/?p=1755","title":{"rendered":"A spine tingling finish in the Grade II Fountain of Ute"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><P class=MsoNormal style=\"MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt\">The Fountain of Ute at Florida gave us one of the most spectacular endings in racing, when three colts finished noses apart, with trainer <EM>luminous<\/EM> <STRONG>Kisaran<\/STRONG> taking the best part and the big prize of the Grade II $200,000 race. <STRONG>Chinedu Hollandia<\/STRONG> came from way off the pace to grab second in the last strides over <STRONG>Tale of Auror<\/STRONG>, who almost pulled out the wire to wire trick.<\/P><P class=MsoNormal style=\"MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt\"><?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = \"urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office\" \/><o:p>\u00a0<\/o:p><\/P><P class=MsoNormal style=\"MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt\">At the start, it was <STRONG>Tale of Auror<\/STRONG> who grabbed the lead over luke warm favorite <STRONG>Super Coverup<\/STRONG>, and these two were able to lead thru easy fractions. The winner <STRONG>Kisaran<\/STRONG> stalked the pace setters from a nearby third, and then <STRONG>Udder Brilliance<\/STRONG> and <STRONG>Melek Ha Cavode<\/STRONG>, the undefeated colt who was nothing short of disappointing, finishing way out of the money. With about two furlongs to go, <STRONG>Kisaran<\/STRONG> began his final push, but <STRONG>Tale of Auror<\/STRONG> had plenty left to contain him for much of the final stretch. In the final half furlong, after battling gamely, the leader gave way to <STRONG>Kisaran<\/STRONG>, while <STRONG>Chinedu Hollandia<\/STRONG> was flying in the grandstand side to grab the place spot over tough lucked <STRONG>Tale of Auror<\/STRONG>. <\/P><P class=MsoNormal style=\"MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt\"><o:p>\u00a0<\/o:p><\/P><P class=MsoNormal style=\"MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt\">The winner improved her lifetime record to 6 wins and a third in nine races, with earnings of $260,372 for trainer <EM>luminous<\/EM>, and figures to be a contender for the Triple Crown Races coming in about nine weeks.
