Six Furlong Dash Tops Card<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/B><\/P>

Pennsylvania<\/SPAN><\/B><\/st1:place><\/st1:State> – With most of the top fillies resting after the Equinics last week, this race will give some of the up and comers a chance to see if they ‘have it’.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>The Code Jess Memorial<\/I> is named after a nice 8YO mare by Lost Code.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>She was stakes placed and won 17 of 44 starts before becoming the dam of three foals to race.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>All are winners and one is a graded winner and perhaps she is a better broodmare than race horse.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Only six will face the starter for the six furlong dash around the main track and all will be looking for a share of the $50,000 purse.<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

Drawing the inside is Maguire’s<\/I><\/B> Polish Not Gone<\/B> (5\/1) a bright bay daughter of Polish Precedent.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>I thought at first this was a computer named filly but no, Maguire<\/I> picked the name himself for this winner of two.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>She worked hard to break her maiden and four starts later found an off track to her liking and came from far back to win an allowance with a speed figure of 83.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>She was moved up the ladder and has beaten a total of three in two starts.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>She will need to step it up if she is to continue at this class.<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

In post two is Chicago Woods<\/B> (24\/1) a well built dark bay filly by Tank, owned and trained by Puffqueen.\u00a0 <\/SPAN><\/I><\/B>She is very lightly raced with only three starts and one win.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>She did beat a full field last time out to win going away but may need more seasoning before facing this kind of company.<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

Dream Evil<\/SPAN><\/B> (2\/1) is not trained by Kingab but by Zwango<\/I><\/B>.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>She is an elegant brown filly by Forty Niner and was a winner at first asking with a nice speed figure of 84.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>She finished sixth in a mile allowance last time out and has been asked to shorten up again.<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

Post four will hold Unbridled’s Spirit<\/B> (5\/2) a pretty light grey filly by Unbridled’s Song.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>She is one of the most experienced fillies in the race and has won four of nine starts for trainer Burn1down<\/I><\/B>.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Ranked # 47 she has had her picture taken in the Apple Laughing<\/I>, the Doctor Fruit<\/I>, and the Nexis Virgin<\/I>.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>She is a winner at the distance and has an out over the track all of which should make her one of the ones to beat.<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

Fulqurant<\/SPAN><\/B> (5\/2) is ranked # 93 and has won three of nine starts.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>She is by <\/SPAN>Green<\/SPAN><\/st1:PlaceName> <\/SPAN>Desert<\/SPAN><\/st1:PlaceType><\/st1:place>, is owned and trained by General<\/I><\/B>, and she won two stakes back to back, the Light Locking<\/I> and the Wretched Charger<\/I>.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Last time out, in her first start as a 3 YO, she was a closing second in the Storm Around<\/I> at 6 1\/2 furlongs.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>She should be closing but may run out of real estate.<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

Breaking from the outside is Scotian Love<\/B> (4\/1) a nice looking bay filly by Afleet.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>She has three wins from eight starts and is looking to make this her third win in a row.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Her only off the board finish was a try on the grass and she has a top speed figure of 86.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>She doesn’t have any experience at this level but I think she will be there for part if not all of it.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Dougiec5<\/I><\/B> will saddle the filly.<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
