This event will go at a mile and an eighth on the main track, which should be fast as cold, yet dry weather is expected this weekend in Kentucky. Given the distance, we could see a horse from this go on to make some noise on the road to the Triple Crown.

Ten Bold Affairs, a son of Ten Most Wanted, owns only a maiden win for trainer robsscoobi. However, he’s quietly earned in excess of $60,000 while competing in stakes and higher-end allowance events. This one has never “laid an egg” so-to-speak, which makes him a volatile sort. He could either improve or throw in a sudden clunker. We’ve seen improvement at longer distances, so look for him to run a decent one today. However, a win seems unlikely.

Warrior Glance is a lightly raced son of 2000 Kentucky Derby winner Fusaichi Pegasus. Kyclocker5 sends him out off of a maiden win in his first start beyond a mile. With a win at this distance while recording a nice SP#, we’ll look for this deep closer to be running late in his stakes debut. A win or good showing today could stamp his ticket to bigger things.

Grimreaper’s The Ratical T(IRE), by Theatrical(IRE), is bred for lawn but has raced exclusively on dirt in lower-level allowance races. He ships from South Dakota looking to nab a stakes win. This one could be a little tough for this speedster. Although he’s been compiling decent ratings for his efforts, we’re looking at some more seasoned opponents here. He should run well, but we’ll wait for some experience before declaring him a definite winner.

Travelling Show, from the barn of oaklawn88, has probably been keeping the best company of this field. A son of Event of the Year, he’s the most experienced horse as well, compiling 12 starts, 4 wins, and earnings of over $120,000. Last year, he was fifth in the Grade 1 Movieland Futurity, and was an even sixth in the Grade 3 Thousand Islands in his most recent attempt. This is a drop in class, and a replication of his last effort puts him right in the thick of things.

Black Street(IRE) stretched out to this distance last time out, and was an excellent second in Vermont. Prior to that, this son of Street Cry(IRE) raced exclusively at sprint distances for trainer wiz. The stretch out was surely warranted, as this colt is bred to run all day. He steps up to stakes company this time around, and looks to be in a position to stake his claim as a contender in the three year old picture this year

Cvbear’s Annuity, by High Yield, will need to show amazing improvement to even get out of the cellar in this field. His numbers are low, and he has practically trailed the field home in his three most recent starts. He’ll have to improve 20-30 lengths to win this one.

Italian Ice(IRE) is another son of Street Cry(IRE). He hails from the barn of nathndtroi, and much like the other Street Cry(IRE) in this field, greatly improved when stretched out in his most recent effort. He posted an identical 91 SP# to his counterpart in that victory, and stretches out a bit more today to nine furlongs. He has tactical speed, and should be in a prime spot to pounce when this field turns for home.

Dade’s Pretend And Covet actually owns the highest SP# of the field at 93 in a 7 ½ furlong race back in week 2713. In two starts since, he has faded in two route stakes, both times picking up checks for his connections. Would be a surprise to see him grab the top spot here, but anything is possible with a little improvement.

[2

post-1716","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-previews
["GET
