Dispite the cool overcast weather a “full to capacity crowd” besieged this historic landmark of Italian\u00a0thoroughbred competition to catch a glimpse of one of the sim sports feminine equine greats. Krishna(IRE<\/STRONG>) did not\u00a0let them down. “Bellisimo..bellisimo!!…”..is the crowd chant as their heroine is lead to the winners circle. The noise was deafening…and the place was rocking as I made my way to owner and trainer paceman2\/theatrical<\/U>. “Phil..Phil”..I screamed over the crowd..”Doc..do you believe what just happened…I can’t believe the race”..he screamed as he wrapped his arms around the chestnut beauty’s neck. “Oh baby”..he said as he planted a big smooch on her nose…”No one but you could have done it!!..no one but you!”..He was beside himself and being absorbed by the pulsating mob, so I grabbed hold of jockey D. Evans and pulled him aside..<\/P> \u00a0\u00a0 “Evans..that was an amazing race”..I said…”I want to thank paceman2 <\/U>stables the Down Under<\/EM> Residency<\/EM> for the chance at this…I don’t think that I’ll ever forget what happened here today”..The veteran top rated jockey collected his thoughts and went on..”in spite ot the yielding track and the crowded post position, we went into the race leaning forward..I had ridden her once before in the Gr.I Coalminer and she showed alot of class that day, it’s why I took the mount!…but what she showed me today..I’ve never experience before..not in my 13 years of riding!”…The jockey took a breath and gathered his thoughts..”We got hammered right out of the gate..banged, pinched back and pushed outside before she had taked 5 strides..before I could gather her up we were in 16th place and she was uncomfortable and unsure of her footing…she was slipping..and nearly stumbled down the backside, I thought we were out of it..we were behind a wall of horses, in 14th place 13 lengths back\u00a0running 6 out, when SHE saw the slightest of openings..Tete Marea(IRE<\/STRONG>)..took one step out and\u00a0Krishna(IRE)<\/STRONG> lowered her head and muscled her way through. The surge forward and the energy she unleashed set me back in the saddle. The was no stopping her after that..she ran down the middle of that track like she owned in..what did she??…she picked up 7 or\u00a09 lengths coming ’round the turn and\u00a0down the stretch!…outrunning..outhearting.. some of the toughest horses in the game…when she heard the crowd roar she dug deeper..caught the leader and ran away by 3\/12 lengths…amazing..just amazing”…”the race was clocked at 3:02 even” I added….”ha ha ha ha..not in the first 1\/2 of the race she didn’t!!!”….”got to go Doc!..got 1 more to ride”…<\/P> \u00a0As I wandered trackside there was tfortiger\/delta tigress<\/U> leading Kryszostoniak<\/STRONG> back to the barn, “got a minute beautiful?”.I questioned..”me or the horse Doc?”..was her coy reply. From the smile on her face I could see that she was completely satisfied with her horse’s effort.
