Indiana<\/SPAN><\/B><\/st1:place><\/st1:State> – It seems only fitting that the favorite for the Dancing Waters Stakes<\/I> should be a filly named Oceanfront.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>With clear weather in the forecast it was surprising that only four trainers dropped their entry cards for Saturday’s $80,000, one mile event.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>The race for 3 YO fillies was named after an 8 YO stakes winning mare by Nureyev who won three of 22 races.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>She is the dam of three foals to race – two of which are winners.<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

Oceanfront<\/SPAN><\/B> (4\/5) is an own daughter of Malibu Moon and is trained by Simond2<\/I><\/B> and has been in the money in nine of her 13 starts which is almost more starts than the rest of the field combined.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>The lovely red filly has four wins and is ranked in the top 100 in the dirt classic division.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>She has won two of her last five starts and finished fourth last time out in the Alynapa Record<\/I> where she led to the top of the stretch before giving way.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>She will be going shorter on Saturday and should be dead fit so she should move forward off her last effort.<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

Colonial Affair will be represented by Sally Hemings<\/B> (6\/1).\u00a0 <\/SPAN>A nice dark bay filly she has two wins from four starts and was second in her only stakes attempt. \u00a0<\/SPAN>With improving speed figures and a win last time out in a nine furlong allowance, trainer Queen<\/I><\/B> figured she earned another try at the class jump.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>I like this filly and think she will do just fine.<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

A pretty, although slightly crooked in her right front, bay daughter of Storm Cat is being pushed to earn back some of her purchase price.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Lucky’s Storm Cat<\/B> (9\/2) was a wire to wire maiden winner and then was very disappointing in her attempts to step up the ladder.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>She managed to only beat two in two tries at the stakes level.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Mrlucky229<\/I><\/B> has found a short field and she will definitely pick up some purse money and some black type.<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

On the outside will be Running Scared<\/B> (7\/5) a well-built daughter of El Prado.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Crazyjoe<\/I><\/B> trains this nice filly who has only been out of the money once in six tries.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>She has two wins and was second two back in the Big M<\/I> two back.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>This will be the first time she has tried a route so she has something to prove, but I doubt she will be embarrassing, barring injury.<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
