Just when King Rancid started to open up some daylight, Morning Return<\/B> turned it up from just behind the leaders. Morning Return looked to have things well in hand as they hit the top of the stretch and started to drive home. What he didn\u2019t see, though, was Machiavellian War passing everything in sight behind him. From seven lengths out at the half, he showed his power down the stretch, just nudging Past Morning Return to win it by a head.
