BLARNEY\u2019S GIFT<\/b> ran nearly a perfect race in the TIMELESS RULE Cap Stakes at Saratoga today. The Mile and three eights race for four year olds and up was run on a fast dirt track and the speeds showed that with half the field finishing with SPFs over the century mark.<\/p>\n

BLARNEY\u2019S GIFT<\/b> was the second favorite on most cards but you couldn\u2019t tell that he knew that. He waited behind IN THE THEATRE <\/b> who had jumped out to an early lead until he had the perfect shot at breezing by. Jockey Nabbinger looked like a magician with the reins as he moved the beautiful four year old grey colt to nearly a perfect trip. He ran his best Speed Figure to date with a 105 and finished strong, looking like he was ready to run another couple of furlongs. He has now started the year off right with a first and a second and really nice speed figures. <\/p>\n

IN THE THEATRE<\/b> jumped out to a nice lead from the gate and finished in second comfortably ahead of YOKO BONE O <\/b> who finished third. PHYL THE SEEKER<\/b> who was the favorite at post time ran a disappointing race finishing fifth in the six horse field which is his second such race in a row and will leave his trainer scratching his head.<\/p>\n

BLARNEY\u2019S GIFT\u2019s<\/b> trainer SSutton has a much happier job, figuring out where to send the winning horse to continue his winning ways in this young 2006 season. <\/p>\n
