Coming from nearly twelve lengths out at the half in this sprint, he became a guided missile in the second half, passing the leader within sight of the wire to take the race by a length and a quarter. This is his first stakes win, and he did it in a career best time. This is his third career victory in fifteen starts, and he pushed his career earnings to just under $75000 with his paycheck here. He still has the bulk of his racing career ahead of him, and we wish him luck in the future.

This one didn’t have as tight a break as one may have expected, producing a clear early leader in Where Are The WMD, who lead the field by three quarters at the first call, a lead he extended to a length and a quarter at the half. The bulk of the field was hanging just off the pace and seemed content to stay there. At the top of the stretch Where Are The WMD had a two length lead, and it appeared that no one was moving to challenge him. But the closers were out there, and when they kicked, they passed this field like it was standing still. Goveisawakiwarrior, from eight and a half out at the top of the stretch, and Cool from six and a quarter out, came into the picture like a bolt of lightning deep in the stretch. They were within sight of the finish line when they surged past what looked to be a sure winner. Goveisawakiwarrior made it a length and a quarter at the wire for his win. Cool edged out Where Is The WMD for second by a scant half length. Anyone holding winning exotic tickets for this one made their day, with the exacta paying $333.80 and the trifecta paying a nice $2225.20.

[3

post-1462","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-reviews
["GET
